What Did You Buy Today?
Added ADM-IP-D-UPS

Just some 10-20 share pickups from my long list of limit orders. I think most of them are going lower actually.

Also sold some puts, MO-KO-T-XEL so far.
Added some BMY shares and sold a put so I can be overweight if they blow earnings tomorrow. Smile

Seriously though, IMO it is probably the only big pharma stock that might be undervalued. We never know for sure until the drug trial results come in. They have an important trial result coming in the next few weeks. It's rarely better than a 50/50 shot. Their pipeline is as good as the competition.

GILD, MRK, and PFE also appear fairly valued. Not screaming deals, but fair value.

The only two stocks I have held 25+ years consecutive are PFE and XEL.  Guess which one isn't a 10 bagger?  I am wearing my "Pfizer Broken Dreams" T-shirt as I type this, so go tell your PFE lies somewhere else.    Big Grin

I own over 500 shares of PFE.  Apparently I am a little slow lol.  I am overweight MRK.  I'd like to trim it but this is not the week.

ADM and IP are my income slaves.  ADM is a local favorite, unless you live too close to a grain processing plant.  You might as well live in your grandfathers outhouse.  It's bad and I am amazed they get by with it.

I sure hope the Prez punches China in the face soon and and screws up the the $40B AG trade deal they signed.  I do hope he walks that back.  I think he will or I get more cheap shares lol.  I buy most of my ADM  shares when they crash now and then.  They'll pay the Div. (famous last words lol)
Last week's CBRL short is working out nicely. If it was a straight up share short I'd close it today but I need to wait for a few more days of option time decay. I always use spreads to ensure my potential loss is very limited. I do want to get long CBRL but I just can't do it way up here. I think they will be just fine in the end.

Nibbled back some ALE-CAT-MRK shares. I don't think CAT is that attractive above $100.

Cat is a must add in that $90-93 range if the economy can remain stable. If things get really bad it can go to $60.  History says so. I don't own it. I have done very well over the years with DE. I prefer that name over CAT. Always have. I wouldn't buy DE here either  Big Grin

And when XOM is leading this market you know something is wrong there lol

I'm not touching any names that have already run from the bottom. Most of those earnings look horrible going forward and its going to take years before you see them growing at 4-5% again. Restaurants have no business going higher. Airline's are dead for years and all those companies taking bailout money will suffer and add to debt. No thanks!

I want the names that have solid balance sheet and have paid the dividend consistently for years and big key for me is the CEO. Without a good CEO I wont touch the stock. I try and buy top 100 CEO's. I know that's not a big deal for most but for me it is  Big Grin

Growth is where its at. Like AMZN, FB, MSFT, ADBE. Yes those fang names. Hate them but love them at the same time!!
Took a New position in BXP. I figured in this $88 range it was a good long term buy. I have been buying some reits of late. I don'y know where they will head from here but I feel pretty positive buying them at current levels.

Anyone own BXP?

We disagree on very little.  Airlines are toast for now.  Several of them will likely BK so there is no hurry.  They are trades only if you desire excitement.  There will be some wonderful restaurant bargains.  I'll keep trading them for now.  It will take years for some of the majors to get things back to right.  20% run ups are ridiculous.

I mix it up.  Most of my life I was almost pure growth but that can blow up of course.  I have over-reacted some the other way lately.  I sold the last of my AMZN.  I'll get back in a few FANGS but I will be very gradual about it.  I don't know that it will happen but if they get slammed it will take the wind completely out of this market.  The indexes would free fall.  I try to keep my port allocated so that if it goes truly horrible, I can just turn the computer off and go entertain myself for six months.  That is the good thing about a true DGI portfolio.  We should be able to go hands-off at any time or we aren't doing it right.

I may have said this before but I live 10 mins from DE headquarters and a bunch of factories.  They are open but laying off.  That stuff doesn't make the wire sometimes.  I live fairly close to major CAT operations as well.  I bought a lot in the 90s and dumped it in the 120s. I don't have to buy all of it rock bottom this time.  The bottom might be today but I highly doubt that.  They aren't selling cheap stuff.  You need a board meeting to buy much from them.

BCE is an interesting  add.
I've owned BCE for several years, and honestly it's such a boring stock that sometimes I forget that I even own it. Nothing happens. Ever. Even the quarterly reports are things that I scroll through in 5-10 minutes because there is nothing interesting in them. I don't think I've even read a single Seeking Alpha article about them in the past year. I'm not even sure if the CEO goes to work. You can hear the analysts snoring during the conference call.

Okay those last two might be SLIGHT exaggerations. But only very slight.
It is downright the most boring stock I have ever owned, which is not necessarily a bad thing these days.

Tomorrow is REIT day for me.  O will put some color on who is paying rent or not.  I see another large gym chain filed BK today.  REITs do look 40-60% off but the story changed.  If I sell you an appliance with a big dent in the side for 50% off you got a deal, but you did buy a fridge with a big dent so it's not really 50% off lol.  I try to look at fundamentally beat up stocks like that and not get in denial.  The old high is irrelevant for now.

LHX is getting closer to interesting. I'll probably hold out for a 2% yield since I can get that from the other high quality defense contractors.
