I haven't researched it.  Hadn't heard of it until you and Otter were discussing it last week.  I am trying to not add too many more new names.  We'll see how long that lasts.  Smile

What I need is for tech to get hammered for real again, but this market is resilient.

Very small trades this morning.  Added a few shares to DG-ARKF  Sold a few SLV puts.

I took the NAIL proceeds and sprinkled it around to the other triples which were all on sale today (TECL, TQQQ, SPXL, RETL, etc.).  I also bought more CSCO and CURE (the only triple which is still rising, because it is 10% JNJ).

You ever hear that saying. Buy low and sell high  Big Grin

Your buying high and expecting higher  Tongue

Question. Just curious why you buy everything in the same sector or sector like? These type of etf's are all up too much, and the market will soon price them right. As of now was over valued. One big correction and these will get whopped

I thought you learned your lesson on MARA  Big Grin

And no I'm no attacking you lol. All these investors expect a triple from here when they already tripled lol. No one is happy with 5% anymore. Everyone expects 100-200 percent lol

My buying is to buy stocks when there out of favor and leave the high flyers alone. These high flyers are going to get hit hard in the coming months.

I'm already short on 8 names and that list is growing....

TECL and TQQQ are the same sector, different weighting on mostly the same stocks (Apple, Microsoft, etc.).  SPXL is the S&P 500 tripled.  RETL is the retail sector (Gamestop, 1-800-Flowers, etc.), CURE is pharmaceuticals, DFEN is the defense sector (Lockheed Martin, etc.).  I like to think I'm buying different sectors.

The lesson with MARA was I threw money at a stock my ex-sister-in-law said was hot.

But after two days of losses, I'm hopefully buying at a discount.  Also, I think we are entering a choppy period but not an overall end to the bull market, so triples should still do well.  Also most of my high yielders are doing well, even HRZN is back up today.
RETL is as risky as they come. Don't bet on GME.  lol

Did you look at the holdings? They own treasury and cash as there top holdings and PLCE which is in trouble and SIG which was neatly bankrupt and has run up for new reason to over $60 a share. Mine as well just buy SPY and stay away from the risk factor. This ETF could go under $100 real fast  Big Grin

If the market corrects let say even 5-10 from here. These 3x ETFS will get hit very hard. But if the market rally's here then sure you can strike it rich lol. Just too much of a risk with the market being at or near an all time high.

just be careful  Big Grin
Ken you need to start listening to us.  If you keep it up you are going to end up pregnant.  We want you  to finish high school and get that welding scholarship at the Votech college.  Oh wait, wrong lecture.   Big Grin

Sold some covered calls on my gold related stuff today.  Looks like the 2% market crash might be over for now.
Added BABA. Its about the only tech stock I can get behind at these levels lol

One of the few that is truly undervalued.  I am considering a small add.  Any tech that doesn't blow away earnings is likely to get beat up with current valuations.

Any good news and BABA could go up $20 in a day  Big Grin

It's in my growth port and not playing it for 20 bucks.  If they keep transparent books and don't color outside the lines with the GOV they will be a double in a few years.  The friction between China and US will ebb and flow.  Just part of the game.  China GDP is exploding higher.  Hard for BABA to screw this up.  I will be patient.
Baba have a huge over hang due to friction between xi and it's founder. But I believe long term it will work out.

It's going to take time, but I'm pretty sure I always have some stocks in my port that just require some patience.  If I was smart I would just make it a full position and turn off the noise for a year.  US and China will stop way short of killing off their money makers.  It's really no different than our FANG stocks.  Politicians just trying to keep a leash on them and to some extent it's necessary or they will get too predatory towards any competition.

Agreed. I think the recent $1Bn+ fine from the Chinese antitrust regulator was the signal from the Chinese Government that they have no intention of destroying the golden goose. Jack Ma may still be in for some personal unpleasantness, but BABA should be ok.

I think it was closer to $3B or a quarter's profits.  Not a token SEC investigation hand slap fine.  Enough to get their attention. I don't know what a typical Chinese fine is but that has to be a statement.

The fact that a political entity that calls itself communist even has antitrust enforcement is pretty ironic.
