What Did You Buy Today?
Added ABT, LMT and BTI

ABT was a great company before covid; they profited greatly from covid and we are now back to their basic model which has delivered great returns. Love getting great companies on sale. You guys can chase the tech names that are grossly over valued and I will swoop up ABT on sale today Wink

Serious downgrade in sales projections.  I am getting some FOMO with my extra cash but this is why I am avoiding chasing stocks that have run to perfection levels.  We've never come out of a situation like this before and there will be some stumbles from blue chips here and there.  Easy to get hurt on a lessor company than ABT.

Not chasing a stock that is already down $20 from the highs  Big Grin

And I will add ABT all day at these levels.

Quality company

I wasn't referring to any particular stock.  I don't even know what TMO even is.  I am buying some too but when I can buy after some short-term bad news there seems to be a little less downside risk.  Sounds like you are doing that as well.  How much ABT did you buy today?

I also took a new position in PXD thanks to the secondary at $153

I needed to add another name in the sector to go along with CVX and EOG

now the only other sector I'm underweight in is leisure  Big Grin
Dude I am a charter member of ENPH.  I made a few hundred a month the past year selling short puts while it ran.  I have a few short puts that are WAY in the money after this bloodbath.  I can only roll forward so much before I own $140 shares.   Big Grin  I said here many times I was good with adding a real position starting at $125.  If I am honest I need ENPH to head back to $120ish to be back to even.  I wasn;t aggressive enough when it was truly cheap.  I'll add shares to my growthy port in the meantime.

Yeah yeah. What ever floats your boat  Big Grin lol
I am very good with owning ENPH long-term.  How happy I am in the end very much depends on the entry.  We'll see where the bottom is soon enough.

Well me too. Got in at $108.90  Big Grin

This will be a big winner for years to come.  You have to add at some point, so why not today. I don't worry about making a few $ here and there  Big Grin . I'm in to win it lol

Are we having fun today  Big Grin

ABT is a good company for sure.

Sold a put in SEDG and RUN. The solar Koolaid is delicious. A few limit orders for small adds in my other solar stocks. I am about as invested in solar as I'd like to be if these get exercised. I expect margin pressure before this inflation thing calms down. The rest of my renewables play will be in green leaning UTEs. Much safer IMO.

I haven't researched it.  Hadn't heard of it until you and Otter were discussing it last week.  I am trying to not add too many more new names.  We'll see how long that lasts.  Smile

What I need is for tech to get hammered for real again, but this market is resilient.

Very small trades this morning.  Added a few shares to DG-ARKF  Sold a few SLV puts.

That’s when you buy it  Big Grin . The stock is now at Oct levels. I just added some myself. You don’t buy it for the dividend. Buy it for the growth and future. It’s one of the best in the space.  I love how people buy BA and it doesn’t even pay a dividend or is earning any money lol. But TMO made over $19 in earnings and BA a minus $20 ??

So maybe you should take a look at TMO … JS

Fair enough I'll take the criticism on BA but hey, already up 2.5% since Friday's purchase  Smile

But most of my purchases were made mid-March; and then I culled down the list through mid-April to a manageable number.  I found it's actually not easy managing so many stocks at once.  So yes, TMO is worthy of my attention now, but I have to wait for funds to become available again; my monthly budget is very tight.  When the child support ends I'll be right with the rest of you announcing my daily buys but that's years away.
BA is going to be OK in the end. You are just late for a big score. About anything we are buying now is late compared to last spring's prices. That's a pretty tough standard and hindsight vision is 20/20.
New position in SPTN today.
And added to ABT today.
Sold an ABT put.
I shaved off some ORC to buy more HD, LOW, ABBV, and ARCC. Estimated income down to $4200.
About time the restaurants get hit today like DRI, EAT ect

If the puts weren't so expensive I would buy them lol

Added some CARR - I'm almost at a full position now

I can't think of a restaurant that isn't at least 10% overvalued and it happened months ago.  I hold a short put in TXRW, only because I think that one might not dip too bad soon.  Cruise lines will get a beating too but I gave up guessing what month.  Maybe when they start selling shares the first time demand goes back to normal? A couple good quarters doesn't fix a broken balance sheet and they haven't even seen a good quarter yet.
Just sold a bunch of names to raise cash
