What Did You Buy Today?
Anyone who said Dividend Growth Forums can't have humor is wrong! Smile

Sold a teensy weensy bit of company stock today; mainly to pay off the ex-wife for taxes.

I really need to get moving on selling my grandfather's stamp book if I want any chance at all of being able to make any more moves in 2021. I'll have some free time this weekend.

I also took a new position in PXD thanks to the secondary at $153

I needed to add another name in the sector to go along with CVX and EOG

now the only other sector I'm underweight in is leisure  Big Grin
Dude I am a charter member of ENPH.  I made a few hundred a month the past year selling short puts while it ran.  I have a few short puts that are WAY in the money after this bloodbath.  I can only roll forward so much before I own $140 shares.   Big Grin  I said here many times I was good with adding a real position starting at $125.  If I am honest I need ENPH to head back to $120ish to be back to even.  I wasn;t aggressive enough when it was truly cheap.  I'll add shares to my growthy port in the meantime.

Yeah yeah. What ever floats your boat  Big Grin lol
I am very good with owning ENPH long-term.  How happy I am in the end very much depends on the entry.  We'll see where the bottom is soon enough.

Well me too. Got in at $108.90  Big Grin

This will be a big winner for years to come.  You have to add at some point, so why not today. I don't worry about making a few $ here and there  Big Grin . I'm in to win it lol

Are we having fun today  Big Grin

I'm not sure who started it but this thread is usually a rough place to hang out lol.

The liquidate your port now cuz the the sky is falling crowd is very quiet today but they might be back on top by Monday lol.  They'll be bulls again before you know it, and I might be a bear lol.  This market is totally bi-polar.  For the 20th time in a row I bought the dip but it's never quite good enough when the  market turns for a quick 5% run.  Someday it will dip for real and stay there for months. I still have way too much cash but my port has had a couple really good days.
Added a bit to CELH today. This is one of those that jumps up and down like crazy just based on the general direction of the market. It's really expensive but I think long-term it'll be a winner... too bad I didn't discover this a year ago. Fenders will probably trash this one since the company name is "Celsius" instead of "Fahrenheit"... Wink

I also have a bit too much cash but I don't think it's a bad move at this time.
Oh my g-d the 1 year on CELH! I'd never heard of it until now. 9x in one year. My goodness.

Used to own it until they had all the issues a few years ago with the max. Sold low unfortunately, but valuations didn't make sense when they hadn't sold a single commercial plane in (then) months.

I would recommend doing your DD as well when it comes to Boeing. They have done okay with their defense contract work but have been mired by their commercial aviation missteps. Delta’s last several orders have been with Airbus because Boeing’s quotes were not competitive. It’s too bad they backed out of the Embraer merger last year because it was a product gap they desperately needed to fill after Airbus acquired Bombardier.

Also, the dust hasn’t settled in regards to their existing FAA delegations following the MAX dumpster fire. If they start to loose their DAR/DER authorities then certifying anything new whether it be a widget or an aircraft will take much longer because they’ll be dependent on direct FAA approvals.

Airbus is positioned better in the long term. They have a fabrication facility in Mobile, AL and have been delivering narrow body aircraft for a few years already, so they have been able to avoid most tariffs. Would be great to see them build wide body aircraft in the US in the future. It’ll keep Boeing on their toes.

You just keep believing buses can fly. How did you even make it this far without losing all your money? You remind me of all those stupid brokerage firms that wouldn't hire me. Smile
Added more baba today. Munger and Mohnish Pubrai both have taken significant position in Baba. Hope we see it in BRK's 13F too.

If only we knew how much CCP control will affect them. It will trade at a big discount to US peers for the foreseeable future.  I will probably add just a little more and give it a year.  I will be shocked if BRK buys any BABA.

This flying bus has actually done quite well, I think my average cost is somewhere in the 80's. I bought my first shares before the pandemic and then averaged down a couple of times during 2020. It won't be anytime soon that I'll be broke and living  in a cardboard box because I own Airbus. Smile

They will both be fine long-term.  There is really no other possible outcome.  I got caught very much by surprise when BA share price bounced back years before the business will be back to 2019 performance and balance sheets.  I wouldn't touch it here but mostly because it doesn't seem responsible for them to support a good and growing dividend in an amount of time that is acceptable to me.  IMO their suppliers are a much better investment as long as they are diversified.
