I will start to nibble on PENN at $45. No support until then. No reason to jump in yet. The shorts and hedge funds aren’t anywhere close to being done. And why would they. And all those margin calls will continue to be a burden. Cathie Wood sold most of her DKNG today at a big loss. All these so called experts are clueless.  They are no longer buying good companies. They bought the hype and now they have to sell those names to cover there losses thus putting more presume on the tech sector. SOXL may go under $10.  The correction has started. You have big down days, followed by a rally and then relentless selling again.  Put your money under your mattress for safe keeping lol

Let’s not forget most people are cashing out now because they don’t want to pay those hefty capital gains hit. People are once again going to lose hope and the market will go down the tubes. This is a fear by most and it’s real.

I bought UVXY and bought some puts.

You may be right about the capital gain tax. I have a feeling a lot of people don't want to pay those penalties. Maybe they all decided to buy properties or rentals?

I think we have a ways to go on the downside as well. Just wish I had waited to buy some of those names  Big Grin
Baba still on sale. Bought baba in long term account

Dude I am a charter member of ENPH.  I made a few hundred a month the past year selling short puts while it ran.  I have a few short puts that are WAY in the money after this bloodbath.  I can only roll forward so much before I own $140 shares.   Big Grin  I said here many times I was good with adding a real position starting at $125.  If I am honest I need ENPH to head back to $120ish to be back to even.  I wasn;t aggressive enough when it was truly cheap.  I'll add shares to my growthy port in the meantime.

Yeah yeah. What ever floats your boat  Big Grin lol
I am very good with owning ENPH long-term.  How happy I am in the end very much depends on the entry.  We'll see where the bottom is soon enough.

Well me too. Got in at $108.90  Big Grin

This will be a big winner for years to come.  You have to add at some point, so why not today. I don't worry about making a few $ here and there  Big Grin . I'm in to win it lol

If I listened to your crystal ball I would never buy anything, except what you tell me to when you get bullish or bearish for a couple days then switch back.  I have a ton of cash.  I gotta average in sometime.  It's a much longer term game for me.  I don't liquidate my port and that has worked well.  When/if a new position I start dips I'll buy more if the long-term fundamentals it makes sense at that time.

You won't regret BABA long-term.  I bought most of my shares in the low 220's but I could be talked into a few more if the market gets whacked for real.
Added AVGO & FB…go slow in case the market drops further

That has worked for a very long time, except maybe last year when all market dips lasted 48HRs and you didn't finish buying the shares you wanted.   Big Grin That happened to me a number of times.  It may have been Buffet that said your performance has more to do with your ability to control your emotions than your ability to pick stocks.  As long as you buy quality you just need to fight your emotions.  Emotional investing has never worked out for me in the end.  It's definitely the cause of most of my mistakes.  I deployed about 2% of my cash today.  Hopefully we get a pullback worthy of bigger investments, but for now we are not a week removed from all-time index highs.
Bought XLF, NEE

Living dangerously I see. For someone who doesn't like the mome and hype stocks you sure added a few today  Big Grin

The sin stocks will outperform this year. So don't ditch them

For all those who voted for Biden. You getting what you all deserved  Big Grin

Well, thanks to Dementia Joe, this country has gone from completely energy independent to now having gas shortages. Inflation is looming, and the market is on the verge of crashing. I can’t believe we have 3+ more years of this stench  Big Grin

And I'm not a political person but we are all doomed. I sold a lot of names today. Not giving back what I worked hard to obtain. I see 15-20 percent more from here.

All I kept are my ETf's and a few names.  My portfolio now consists if 6 ETF's, 8 stocks and cash reserves. Going to spend the next 6 months smoking week and drinking vodka and watching Bogart movies  Big Grin

I usually stay far under 5% true spec but I sell puts so it can spike a few points over that at times.  My strategy is very conservative overall but stuff happens now and then.  I have a strike 25 ARRY put that I sold when ARRY was over 35.  Less than a month out so easy money, but not this time.   It is deeeep in the money.  Smile

I agree with you on the sin stocks.  Most all of them will do well enough if you don't overpay severely.

You can buy the sin stocks right here and there way undervalued to the overall market. MO should be at $75 now and it will eventually.

Tech has to go down another 20-25 percent and even then its over valued. This is why being in the high dividend and low beta stocks is more safe.

The only tech stocks I have now are AVGO, MSFT and APPL. That's all I need at the moment lol
VXX off for 25% gain. 3 weeks

Waiting for VIX spike to peak, then loading up on UPRO
