Makes sense to me.
Not any more it’s down .24 right now. Bag holders. All expected Musk to bring it to new highs on SNL. When will investors learn lol ?
OK, so pull Dollar General valuation off the market CAP. Now only worth 50,000 restaurants. Pretty insane.
By the way, they are not "investing" and there-in lies the problem when it gets completely out of hand.
It’s a damn joke on a coin ?? . I love dogs but come on. Really it’s like Monopoly money! It’s only good on the board haha!!
I've just never seen it more ludicrous. Not the equity markets in general, but the side show of 20/21. Some of our stocks ran too high last year, but there was some actual hope of a profit. BTC has some value though I think it's currently beyond insanity. Dogecoin is the apex of speculation. At least if you got caught up in the Tulip mania you got a tulip. There are already a few Dogecoin millionaires made though most won't sell. I'm just not sure how we top this.
How do we top this? Maybe moon rocks will take off and be the next craze lol ?

They may rotate to the next crap coin but after a few melt down they will figure something out because the next ones won't run. Maybe cycle back to the "blue chip" coins for now? For the moment they are making GME speculators looks like the sane ones and I really mean that. Everything is relative. Even though I won't play it's interesting to watch.

I don't trade cryptos but looking just at today's Dogecoin chart there were 3 opportunities for 10%+ trades. 20-30% in a day is nothing to sneeze at.
Some may take their money off the table and invest it elsewhere, others may take their proceeds and buy cryptos as a long term speculative trade. Personally, my futures trading profits are spent as income. I have no idea of who is doing what.

Looks real good on paper, but some of the major platforms for the extra speccy stuff locks up for an hour or two when the fast moves are made. Happened again last night, and for GME recently etc. It's a definite trend when the chips are on the table. It happens a lot and that would frustrate me if I was trying to play the casino. Definitely a source of stress if I didn't know if I could depend on it if I was in deep.

i've added to
ipoe (sofi merge closer)/gild/mga/kr/vz/mo/tsm/vrtx/tdoc
I took a look at the 1 year charts of all of those, and wow MGA is impressive. A nice smooth ride from $39 to $98. PE of 39, div of 1.75%. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

In my put sale stable. Just get informed on the narrative.

i usually don't buy mga until it yields in and around 2.5%
but i've been nibbling here and there lately--imho--as log as things keep going well i wouldn't be surprised if a stock split happens or is announced before the year is out--if it gets into that 110 to 115 price range
i know, theoretically it doesn't change the fundamentals but i never met an investor that says no to a split lol
i think mkl can use a stock split to kick start itself in it's ass to get something going--another long holding of mine

The market really hates the nasdaq now; wow! My ROTH is more diversified than my taxable, which is taking a larger hit today.

Soon they will all be buys
Get those tech buys ready. The upside will be as big as the downside. Right now they are heavily being shorted. The question is how much lower do they go? Glad I’m not that deep in tech right now lol. But if they get cheap enough I will start to nibble.

I haven't researched it. Hadn't heard of it until you and Otter were discussing it last week. I am trying to not add too many more new names. We'll see how long that lasts.
What I need is for tech to get hammered for real again, but this market is resilient.
Very small trades this morning. Added a few shares to DG-ARKF Sold a few SLV puts.

Article on it. It's almost like the market is allergic to good earnings from a tech company.
