What Did You Buy Today?

I own some GNRC and it is going to be one of my core holdings if I can catch a good dip this winter now that hurricane season is over.  They can't miss with more frequent storms and shaky CA utilities the new normal.  For now I sell out of the money puts every month but I'll get my dip.  The waiting list is months around here for a whole house generator system install.

Sold a few more puts on my boomer/gun stocks today.  Blowing away earnings and paying off all their debt.
Not a DGI stock, but I am buying as much ABNB as I can get my hands on for next week's IPO (December 10).

That's what happens when you join the Robbin Hood fools in pajamas  Big Grin

These stocks wont see any profits for years and they were all bid up on impulse. Give me FCX and VALE who are in a uptrend and and will have a profitable next few years.

I have PLTR, Mostly bought at ~9 and some at ~15. Anyone who believed that the casino we saw in PLTR will sustain would be a fool. Selling PLTR or not depends on what's your investment theory. Are you in for a quick trade or you believe in the company long term. I strongly believe in the tech space, problem and business model PLTR is in. That's why dint sell out at $33. If it drops ~15, I might add more.

This. My cost basis is $10.10 on PLTR. It is all pure profit at this point (sold half for about a 125% gain to get my initial investment back and cover the tax liability). The rest will just ride unless I see something that makes me question the viability of the business.

That sort of strategy is about the only way I feel comfortable with MoMo stocks. Initial stake that you are willing to see go to 0, sell half to get your initial stake back if you are lucky and it doubles.

Me too.  It will be hyped way beyond fundamentals for awhile.  Might as well enjoy some of the ride. I expect I'll have to pay too much.

Smart of them to list at one of the worst periods of the pandemic, just before vaccine rollout. The YoY numbers going into 2022 should be staggering.

Their potential growth is essentially limited only by the global supply of housing, and regulatory burden. No properties to maintain, no complicated relationships with franchisees . . . they can just focus all of their revenue on continued growth and lobbying efforts.

As someone who used to maintain top-tier hotel status for over a decade with Hilton, Hyatt, and SPG (now merged into Marriott), Airbnb is my preferred go-to for leisure travel, which should be a massive growth area in a post-Covid world. I don't see business travel bouncing back quite so quickly (continued push to virtual meetings where it makes sense to do so).

I actually stayed at an AirBNB for the first time ever in August.  I'd never heard of it but it popped up way deep on a Google search.  That complaint is valid.  I am thinking a little at IPO, maybe some more after lockup.  They are going to blow earnings estimates unless a big loss is predicted.
bought some XEL. RSI at 20 which it hasn't seen in a long, long time
Added to TXN and MCBC.

I added some XEL as well.  It's probably at fair value now but it hasn't spent much time there the past few years.  I have some puts sold at 65 so I might be overweight if this continues much longer.  Added just a few shares of NEE.  I'd like to add more to finish my position but it needs to drop more before it's a deal.

I added XEL, NEE and AWK right before the close. We finally got the dip in utilities i was looking for.

Rotation into crap companies continue. When will the madness end lol. KSS just keep going up. I have no answer as to why lol

But I did buy a few puts before the close for Feb on AA and X

I’m doing well on my KR puts

Oil looking good ?

The blatant disregard for garbage balance sheets and no hope for a near-term profit is hard to figure out.  You know they are going to get slapped down hard before too long, but I am still thinking it might not be until early 2021.
Started a small position in LUMN.

Traded PLTR with a new position between last weeks drop and today's run up and took out my investment from last week(still keeping my initial position). Same, getting ready for AIRBNB. not buying if they IPO at even more crazy valuation compared to SNOW. I am guessing the stock will open way higher than $62 though. is there a any way I can get a pre-ipo deal or ipo price, lol.
