Hoping for some more bargains down the road
Slow down, you're running the market up again today lol. Most of the big players report earnings the next few weeks. It won't all be pretty and you'll get some chances to deploy cash. That's not a prediction what the market will do but some of these stocks are running up on hopium that isn't coming real soon.
Just shorted my beloved CBRL via options. I'll spare you the details here but if it runs much above $101 in the next week or so I start to lose. Just a hedge on my long port.
I think you already lost from the last time you tried to short at $60. Its at $94 now and headed to $120 fast

I need UPS to stay near here for a week. I have a covered call I sold when it was much lower.
Guru, all kidding aside from previous post. Put buy = SHORT Put sell = LONG And the opposite for calls. This time I did both with CBRL and i AM net short. I'll leave that explanation alone.
I almost always SELL puts. I did however buy a few SPY puts for a small hedge. You may mock me if those don't work out by about AUG. Looking like a bad idea right now.

added some UPS and PG
Thoughts on CINF? It' down $10 today. PE 5 and yield of 2.9%. Thinking of taking a position. After all it is a dividend king
At the rate CBRL is going they may bring back the dividend next quarter lol

DIV ain't coming back soon but they're scaring me man lol. It's usually a more volatile stock than most probably realize for an old restaurant chain with a big Div.
You'll be good with that UPS position. It has a ton of technical support near $90. The quarter was a little surprising but it's not like they are losing money. That Div is very good for a transport.
CAT reported the first of several bad quarters. I am really hoping to add my shares back. I trimmed much higher but want them back well under 110. We'll see.
Closed my O options I think I opened on Friday for 75% gain. I need it to pull back just a few dollars so I can try to go long again. I need a few of these commercial REITs to report rents received, or not.

I used to own CINF and sold it at around 110 as I thought it was overvalued. That was a 100% gain back then. I'm looking for a price considerably below 70 to reenter.

Trimmed a few of my holdings today. Just my 10% up down game of late to get my basis a bit lower and try not to miss a Div. Too many companies trying to run higher on bleak earnings projections. Pretty sure it won't last much longer but I've been wrong before. Trimmed some HON, PEP and ALE today. Still own plenty should they run higher. I've never seen a market anything like this in 35 years.

UPS is one of the few solid buys I see today. I own plenty and might add just a little but I'm hoping for sub 95. The market will have to dip for that to happen and who knows if it does? Some of the companies continue to take the easy way out and pull guidance. I see some analysts downgrades coming VERY soon for blue chips. Price targets are still way too high based on pre-CV19 economy. That should make some opportunities happen with a bit less investing completely blind.
My boring higher Div stocks are really rocking lately. I think the flight to Divs over sketchy growth at a high PE is coming soon.

Bought PSA and UPS
I’m not happy with the RTX dividend. .47 just isn’t going to cut it for a company this big. I’m trimming some and will put into something else. Maybe LMT

I thought that was a pretty decent div.
Yield of a little under 3% at current prices and from the top of my head it looks like an almost 20% increase to the previous div if you were a RTN holder. No idea what this means for those who had UTX before.
I'll take my yearly raise.
