Yeah they are too big to fail for now.  I'll just keep trading DAL.  They'll be profitable again in a year or two.

I just looked at AALs deal....

Just received grants and loans that pretty much = 100% of their current market cap.  Asked for an additional gov loan of similar amount so that makes 200% of market cap.  That doesn't count the debt they already had, and they were already the most indebted major airline.

Sounds like a legit business plan to me.  They should take the money and buy back shares lol.   Big Grin
CNBC headline "Futures drop 400 as market worries about earnings...."

Yeah, after it runs 5000 points higher because nobody expected bad earnings? Somebody is actually getting paid to write this stuff lol.

Down 400, haven't heard a company threaten BK for at least a half hour.  How can you lose!   Big Grin

I know I already said it but the numbers in that AAL bail out are sobering.  And they ask may we have another $5.8 billion soon please? This is going to be so messy for certain industries.

Anybody with any sense knows the markets have been turned into nothing but a casino.  This shall pass but I am just amazed.  I thought I had seen it all after 30 years in the market.  I am pleased the FED is saving us from Great Depression II, but they are going to blow the money early bailing out large cap stupidity that is going to BK anyway.  Not that Guru needs a loan, but they could give 100,000 businesses like hers in locked down states a couple months rent and they would likely be around for years employing folks that are gong to max out unemployment bennies otherwise.  Small biz is starting to drop like flies where I live.  New announcements from restaurants that were getting along OK until a few months ago.

By the way, if you like to eat meat get some before the price explodes.  I live in farm country.  The meat processors are blowing up with employee CV19.  89 new cases at one local Tyson plant this week.  They'll have to shut down.
Looking at AMP - why is the selloff? I don't own the name, does anyone follow it?
Also looking at LEG at these levels...

I like both stocks you mentioned at these levels. Financial stocks have been under pressure the last few days since JPM and WFC reported. I'm actually going to buy some shares of AMP. Its been a name I have followed for a while. 7 PE and a yield of 3.4%. Cant get better then that.

I also opened a mini AMP position at around 3.7% yield. I'll add if it goes lower.
