Be a little careful with that Buffet following thing. He bought about $20 ago when I bought my first shares. The story has changed more than a little. The dividend is likely history for now. DAL is the best managed airline in the industry and that will not save us for now. If you are cool with waiting over a year for a dividend you're good. I'll be pleasantly surprised if I see another Div in 2020.
Yeah I'm not too excited on DAL. Once they cut the dividend I took it off my list. I just see slow travel for the next year or tow. Passengers are going to be strapped for vacation money and afraid to fly now. Just because they give you the ok doesn't mean the corona virus wont come back at any time. It only takes 1 and it spreads again. That what I'm afraid of going forward. I see social distancing happening for a long time.
I pulled a Fenders and Guru just now lol. Bought 5-10 shares each of MCD, PYPL, and SBUX for my 6 year olds account.
These are just names I add to for his college fund lol

OLN is a interesting name. Can they still pay out that 7% dividend? Rating was just lowered to BB Negative. Just trading it? Trying to squeak out a $1 or $2?
Or did you go mo 5 years long

It's a good method. Provides hours of entertainment almost everyday and you can't get hurt much. I know it must sound ridiculous but for weeks I sell 5 or 20 shares of a core position, buy it back 10% cheaper. Over and over it works in a volatile market. If I have to hundred dollar my way back to prosperity that's what I'll do lol. If a stock runs and a my core positition is short a few shares it will be OK. Before this I was a 100 share guy for the past 500 trades. Nobody can time this mess and it just causes unnecessary stress trying to decide when to jump in or out. My 45 stock port is handy now. There is something ready to buy or sell most everyday.

LOL, just like oil. A trade and nothing more.
These SPY puts are starting to look real good. I'll start selling if this continues a few more days. It really does take some stress out of these bad days.

CBRL is a good call IMO. It's trying to find a bottom. They will bring a strong dividend back as soon as they can and shares over 50% off are going to look good soon enough. I sold all of mine just north of $100 and today looks like a good day to start getting back in. No worse than holding a stock that pays no dividend when the price is right.
And a I hate it when I try to sell a position but double up instead. Pay attention dummy.

It’s ok if CBRL doesn’t pay a dividend now. Either does AMZN or FB lol
I have CBRL on watch list as well. I missed it the first time it went under $60. Not going to miss it this time I will start nibbling at $70 or so

Florida just issued a 30-day stay-at-home order. Florida had the largest store count for CBRL as of 2015, the latest data I could find.
I think CBRL is a great company, but I have a hard time seeing any positive news coming for it in the next month.

I agree with you, seeing positive news will be difficult these days. But wait until the restaurants open again

I agree Eric but you know as well as I do, you have to get ahead of the market. Sure it will take time to get back to full capacity in there restaurants. But they will get back to norm in a year or so. It’s at a discount now, and if you believe $100 below it’s high is bargain now, maybe it’s a buy lol.
Eric what do you think of VFC here? Could be a double bottom soon. I don’t own but I am a big fan of Vans lol

About as solid a company as it gets in the apparel/consumer discretionary space.
