What Did You Buy Today?
I added to MO. I add when ever its gets in the 39-41 range.
Added OMC and bought an initial small batch of GD
wow OXY down to $28 and today is the ex dividend.

Added to GD as well. I had a limit order in at $158.50
I went to the stock mall again and caught most of these when the DOW was down 700+. As I've said before don't get too impressed with the long ticker list. Most of these are just $500 purchases as I continue to build my future core postions. I waited a very long time to get in the market deep and I stlll bought a lot of shares too early.

RTN-LMT-HON-LHX-V-WELL-CAT-CBRL

My gambling bone made me add some FUN and DAL which is very spec for now. I am comfortable holding these through the virus beat down. These have decent balance sheets. I am near my max position in these so you can bet I will regret I didn't wait. Great divs and I'll just have to eat the near-term if it's bad. I am completely ignoring my junk like F. It can drop to wherever but I won't be sucked in. Same with oil. Most of it is junk for now.

Rolled a few put sales forward which is a huge part of my income strategy. Option premiums are stupid good due to volatility and make it easy to delay getting forced into positions.
Started a 25% new position in Parker Hannifin (PH). Another industrial with aviation exposure. Even worse a 737MAX parts supplier but they are diversified enough. On my watch list a long time and down hard the past month. Good dividend growth rate. Also grabbed a few shares of LEVI because I trade it.
bought some DRI, RHP and SBUX

RHP has dropped like a rock lol
I would be crazy to not add oil at these prices. Added more OXY. A bit XOM, PHX.
New positions in EOG, DRI, MDT, WBA and BUD

I'm going to drink a lot of beers to celebrate lol . BUD is my spec stock
Added to MO today.

We are safe until Monday unless Otter figures out how to short weekend oil futures lol.

I was reading today that the funds have invested heavily into oil stocks and there maxed out. Meaning they can’t add any more. And they are got in much, much higher then current levels. This is the most heavily shorted area in he market. Any good news and it’s off to the races. This reminds me of 2002 and again in 07-09 when no one wanted oil. I believe we were at like 20 dollars a barrel. But after they bottomed they came roaring back. I see the same thing happening here. Not sure how low we go. But under 40 a barrel is coming. I just wonder if these companies can continue to payout dividends or at least have to suspend them. It’s definitely something to keep an eye on. I want to buy VLO and EOG, but I’m not sure it’s the right time to jump in yet. Long term I’m sure you will do well. It’s the short term I’m worried about. I made money on XOM trade last week. Picked up 3 points and sold. I’m looking to trade in and out of some names in the short term, and will go long when i see things improving.

Agree with you. I loaded XOM too soon. Going slow on OXY. I haven't looked that much back in time but few years back when crude was at, even at that time the valuation of oil majors did not drop as much( as far as I saw). Crude is ~$44 and the valuation has dropped so much.

OXY CEO was certain that they can maintain div as long as crude is above $40. Below that they can carry on for 12-18 months and then will have to think. They have hedged the oil prices for 2020 . At this place even if they cut the div in half that will be a 6% yield. May be I am too optimistic but Oil seems too cheap to pass. Plus if inflation hits, oil is going to get more expensive and acts as a hedge.

XOM also doesn't look like will be cutting the div but it's a scary time for oil holders, lol.
