Just curious, this being a Dividend Growth Forum, why is AOS being held as such a good buy... It only yields about 1.67%

Anyway, I've gone ahead and put an order for 200 shares of AOS @ market price today (as I liked the company's fundamentals)

I bought some GD and CAH today

Regarding AOS. While the yield is only 1.6% they have raised the dividend 3 times in the last 2 years. I didn't buy it for the dividend. I bought because the price was too low to pass up, and the share price should rebound nicely back over $50. If a trade war is finalized this company will do well.

Thanks for the explanation divmenow...  I got 200 shares @ 43.08 today and now feel a bit comfortable :-)
What are your thoughts on OXY (I want to put a limit order for 100 shares @ 50 and hope it bites).... I don't want to sound like an idiot, but feel its just getting beaten due to the recent acquisition of Andarko for the HUGE sum, but overall it is poised to go up pretty well in the future (I have some solace knowing that Buffet is backing it).

Any inputs would be appreciated :-)
