WOW. 

MO is an unstoppable dividend beast. Second generous raise for the year, and the payout ratio is STILL comfortably below their stated 80 percent target.

And down 2 percent today, so it is offering a 5.45 percent yield right now....

Sorely tempted to buy some.

And MCD stock price instantly jumps even more than the additional DIV. If the DIV increase is a trend that should help the stock appreciate going forward.

Texas Instruments (TXN) announced a 24.2% dividend increase, bringing the forward yield to 2.84%. It also announced another $12B increase to its buyback program, which brings it up to $19.4B, or about 18% of the market cap of the company.

American Express approves dividend increase that it already disclosed

American Express's (AXP) board approves an 11% increase in its quarterly dividend to 39 cents per share from 35 cents.

The plans for a higher dividend were known in June when the Federal Reserve approved capital return plans for "too big to fail" financial institutions. AmEx's capital return plan included buying back up to $1.6B of common shares this year and up to $1.9B in H1 2019.
