Pepsi "announced a 7.1 percent increase in its annualized dividend to $3.01 per share from $2.81 per share, effective with the dividend expected to be paid in June 2016. Total dividends to shareholders are expected to be approximately $4 billion in 2016. In addition, the Company anticipates share repurchases of approximately $3 billion, resulting in expected total cash returned to shareholders of approximately $7 billion in 2016."

Kimberly-Clark Corporation (KMB) today announced its board of directors has approved a dividend increase of 4.5 percent. This will bring the quarterly dividend to $.92 per share, up from $.88 per share in 2015.

Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO
The company has also hiked its quarterly dividend by $0.05/share (24%) to $0.26/share. That's good for a 4.6% forward yield. The next dividend is payable on April 27 to shareholders on record as of the April 6 close.




HCP (NYSE:HCP) declares $0.575/share quarterly dividend1.8% increase from prior dividend of $0.565.

Genuine Parts (NYSE:GPC) declares $0.6575/share quarterly dividend6.9% increase from prior dividend of $0.615.

Forward yield 2.99%

GPC has paid a cash dividend every year since going public in 1948, and 2016 marks the 60th consecutive year of increased dividends paid to shareholders.

"Our board of directors has approved an increase in our quarterly common stock cash dividend of 3.5% to $0.88 per share, reflecting our expectation of continued growth in cash flow," commented Andrew P. Power, Chief Financial Officer. "This marks the 11th consecutive year we have grown our dividend, and we are pleased to be among a select group of REITs to have raised the dividend each and every year since our initial public offering in 2004."

Coca-Cola (KO)

The Board of Directors of The Coca-Cola Company today approved the Company's 54th consecutive annual dividend increase, raising the quarterly dividend 6 percent from 33 cents to 35 cents per common share. This is equivalent to an annual dividend of $1.40 per share, up from $1.32 per share in 2015. The first quarterly dividend is payable April 1, 2016, to shareowners of record as of March 15, 2016.

Walmart (WMT)

The Board of Directors of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (WMT) approved an annual cash dividend for fiscal year 2017 of $2.00 per share, an increase of two percent from the $1.96 per share paid for the last fiscal year.

Great week for Dividend Growth Investors despite Walmart's low annual increase (1 cent a quarter).  Walmart is in a tough spot now as their dividend growth is so small and there are many viable options with better dividend growth with similar yields (JNJ or PEP) or better yields with similar low dividend growth. (T, VZ, SO).

Xcel Energy Inc. Board Increases 2016 Common Dividend 6.3 Percent

The Xcel Energy Inc. (XEL) board of directors today raised the quarterly dividend on the company’s common stock from 32 cents per share to 34 cents per share, which is equivalent to an annual rate of $1.36 per share. The Board declared the first quarter common stock dividend payable April 20, 2016, to shareholders of record on March 15, 2016.

SCANA Corporation Announces 5.5 Percent Increase In Common Dividend

SCANA Corporation (SCG) announced that its board of directors, at a meeting held today, raised the quarterly cash dividend on the Company's common stock to 57 ½ cents per share from 54 ½ cents per share, an increase of 5.5 percent. This action increases the indicated annual dividend rate to $2.30 per share from $2.18 per share. The new dividend is payable April 1, 2016 to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 10, 2016.

"The results of 2015, our confidence in our growth strategy, financial strength, and long-term outlook, as well as our commitment to providing competitive returns to our investors, were considered when making the decision to increase the quarterly dividend.  We continue to anticipate growing our dividend fairly consistent with earnings growth while staying within our stated payout policy of 55%-60%."
