What Did You Buy Today?
Sold an ENPH Friday strike 152.50 put. Wish me luck VBIN but I think I can roll it if I need to. Smile

May be close to a personal best weekly income record. It's going to be close.
I just came here to post enph too, lol. Closed a enph put expiring this week and sold another expiring couple weeks from now strike $157.5.

They have earnings this week which can be a coin flip but oh well. I am talking chances and might have to roll of they drop 10% post earnings and don't recover.
GNRC went parabolic recently and have earnings this week fyi fenders. You see it going up after earnings?

No I really don't. I see volatility short-term.  Their business went parabolic too.  It's not just a stock price Momo thing.  Take a look at their quarterly earnings as far back as you can see.  I very much like the sales trend.  They have a huge tailwind for the foreseeable future.  Hurricane season = sales boost.  More home solar systems = more generators for a home back up to finish the system for perfect reliability.  The trend of shaky utilities causes massive sales every time there is a local episode.  Last time we had local storms that knocked the power out for days my HD manager called in a truckload from states away.  Folks were on a list and waiting in the parking lot hours before we opened to buy us out.  Happens every storm.  GRNC won't be lower by SEP. I bought shares at $180 and wish it was more.  For now I dabble in options as the premiums are pretty good, but I would be all over it at sub $300.  I see no big downside.  I don't know how they could screw this up.  BTW I own some Generac products and they are damn good.

Sector darling and the PE is sky high.  We takes our chances.  I am really hoping for $120 shares but that will take a serious market pullback I don't predict coming soon.  I am very OK with owning shares but flipping options is lucrative as you know. I don't see great earnings this quarter. I expect a pullback or I would have sold closer to the money as I do when ENPH dips.
MSFT down $9, PINS down $7, ENPH down $17. Come on drive them down further. I want cheaper shares lol

Like I have been saying. These stocks have run up sooo much already. How much further can they go? Already priced in which I feared lol ?
Microsoft just announced big earnings. As did Alphabet. As did Tesla. I'm expecting a big day tomorrow.

The rest of my ENPH puts are another $22 lower from here and it they go $10 lower than that I am in trouble I suppose.  They are simple to roll forward a couple weeks and down $10 on the strike.  This market is nutty for sure.  MSFT down $9 is absolutely nothing to an investor if you were in two weeks ago.  Earnings are a good opportunity to make some trading money for sure.

It's mostly in the market already.  MSFT had a very nice run lately.  Traders rule during earnings season.  TSLA earnings don't qualify as big positive news.  The next eight quarters are priced in if fundamentals matter.  (which they clearly don't right now).

I have no clue what the market brings tomorrow as all the big dogs are expected to beat earnings.
They will back up by Friday fenders. Or we roll em. Might sell msft put tomorrow.

I haven't researched it.  Hadn't heard of it until you and Otter were discussing it last week.  I am trying to not add too many more new names.  We'll see how long that lasts.  Smile

What I need is for tech to get hammered for real again, but this market is resilient.

Very small trades this morning.  Added a few shares to DG-ARKF  Sold a few SLV puts.

Prophecy for tomorrow: my biggest single day gain ever, with TECL leading the way.  Big Grin

Guy's gotta dream, right?

I have never played options on a stock that was so easy to roll.  The fact that they are profitable and have the green tailwind for years takes the stress off.  I'm not trying to own $50K worth of ENPH right now, but I could live with it as the covered call premiums are just as crazy good when it runs every week or so.
