ARCC's 5 year chart looks very similar to HTGC's; both are up 22% in that time.  Knowing it will probably continue to trend upwards over time makes it easier to jump in and not wait for an exaggerated dip.  If you are patient you might see 18.50 again, but I'm crossing my fingers you don't see ARCC in the 16s again.

For what it's worth, all of my purchases were in the 19s.

All that's required for the 16s is a 20% market correction. Not out of the realm of possibility by any stretch.
