This is typical of a late stage bull market but the rules are never the same so I don't pretend to know for sure. I surely don't blame you for partaking in the easy profits. Just know when to gradually trim some profits. There will be a day when financials matter. I don't see a significant moat. It's just video tech and a staff of normal physicians. A huge pharma or insurer will enter the telemedicine space if it's truly lucrative which I believe it is. Own a good stock so they are the obvious merger partner. The little players will be blown off almost always. I can't help you on oil, pot stocks and airlines lol. Only tiny positions in my port going forward. They bloodied my nose so I will make no more big bets on them. If any of them went BK the industry nobody wouldn't care at all.(10-27-2020, 02:32 PM)fenders53 Wrote:(10-27-2020, 02:09 PM)saimash Wrote: I've been slowly increasing my positions in Telemedicine.First of all I like the T-Shirt. You have good taste.
25 shares TDOC @ $185.10
40 shares EHTH @ $66.00
500 shares of EDOC @ $17.10
I know we have some folks in this group invested in TDOC.
I think Telemedicine will go a long way in the next 5 years... Your thoughts ?
Telemedicine almost surely has a part going forward as it will keep costs down where it's appropriate. It's on my "if the market crashes" list. It would seem there might be some competitive pressure over time. If they spike during this round of the Covid I don't think I would chase them higher. I looked at TDOCs new merger partner and they look stretched. Not inexpensive anyway.
Thanks for your input Fenders... Yes I do believe I have enough exposure in this space and will not add to it in the near future.
I've noticed that my holdings in the Healthcare space has got quite overweight (with my positions in ABBV, MDT, PFE, JNJ and now in Telemedicine) but also provided the best returns. The biggest hits taken by me are in the Airline (BA, SAVE, DAL), Energy Stocks (ET, EPD) and Pot Stocks (CRON)... hopefully they will recover soon !
Thanks for the comment on the T-Shirt.... Proud to be a Minnesotan :-)
