Aristocrat rules need tweaked.  What a game.

Indeed.  What I look for in DG are stocks that consistently raise their dividend 8%+ every year. Or that kind of raise say 3 out of every 4 years.

That goal is a bit lofty but no harm in trying.  I take industry conditions into account, but the one penny Div raise companies gotta go.  Especially if they have a joke dividend raise two years in a row.  You know they are gaming the "List" at that point.

Linde PLC's board of directors has raised its quarterly dividend to $1.275 per share from $1.17 per share.

The new dividend, which represents a 9% increase, is payable on March 28 to shareholders of record on March 14, the industrial gases and engineering company said Tuesday.

LIN has beaten the market in just about all market conditions that I tested and is in my Ultimate Portfolio.

Nearing semi retirement, I am simplifying things beginning with the sale of an investment property in 2023. Funds will be rolled into the following portfolio.

The criteria of the stocks in the portfolio are: Dividend Aristocrat, outperformed the S&P soundly with superior risk adjusted returns. They also had to outperform the S&P during the following periods: GFC 2007-2009, the flat decade 2000-2012 and long term 2000-2022. Long term performance 5.5X S&P with 1/2 drawdown of S&P.
Open for critique, here it goes:

MCD
ABT
LIN
HRL
O
BRO
BDX
CVX
CHD
GPC
SHW

Equally weighted and a percentage will be withdrawn from portfolio each year.

Thanks! I do think you posted this before, but it's nice to see it again. I'll take a look at each one.

The beauty of them is as a portfolio. Individually, they all beat SPY in the periods tested above, but collectively it's the nuts.

Smokes the Ray Dalio All Weather port, Coffeehouse Investor port, Lazy Portfolio and on and on. Way better return and better drawdown and Sharpe ratios.

If I was 20 year younger I would market this. ( Scott Burns portfolios also got smoked and he was able to parlay that notoriety into 800MM AUM)
