Any of her funds that held TSLA had awesome returns.  I actually like her and think she is intelligent but she has been off the rails with her trades too often this year.  Liquidations forced a lot of it.  She owns a lot of stocks that are just not liquid enough for a quick exit without crashing it.  The one week round trip trades for a significant loss don't look much like investing to me.  She preaches long term but acts like a day trader lately.  I hope she succeeds but she isn't instilling confidence.

Agree, she’s lost a bit of her luster lately. Longer term I’m hoping enough of her port picks have success however.

Happy 2022 everybody! The DRIP calculator website https://dqydj.com/stock-return-calculator/ runs a week behind, but I did some initial calculations using Dec 23rd and the 2021 race is too close to call at this point. So, in a week I'm going to calculate the final returns for the first 7 on Eric's spreadsheet, down to lucas03.

The following tickers are not supported by that website, and don't have dividends, so I'm going to record their 1 year return now as provided by Google:
RETL - 108.89%
GLOG-A - 8.45%
ASSA-B - 35.99%

ASSA-B actually has a dividend. 3.90SEK (yay for dodgy currencies!)
Yield of 1.41% on the closing price of 31 December 2021.
or yield of 1.92% on the closing price of 1st of January 2021.

This was more of an informational message, there is no need to figure out how to throw this into the DRIP calculator. It's not worth the hassle. We can just add the yield to the 1 year return and it'll be close enough for our purposes.

I look forward to the final results. It was a nice change from half the entrants near zero.

My last place finish was actually perfect. It reaffirms my decision to transition from single names to market timing ETF investing exclusively. Will continue to hold my DGI portfolio but not adding new money to it.

Tough to beat the ETF strats or even just the index consistently. You own a few of the top ten or you probably underperform

What were the final stats for the 2021 competition? Never could find them and now the spreadsheet is on to 2022.

Same link and same spreadsheet -- look at the very bottom of the spreadsheet window and you'll see a tab for 2021.

Each equity is given an initial $10,000 investment.

ken-do-nim
ABBV - $13,239.17
KMI - $12,304.01
ORC - $9,960.10
RETL - $20,889 (the website doesn't do ETFs, but I just used the 108.89% 1-year return Google reports)

Total: $72,941.79

kblake
AAPL - $13,380.78

ChadR
AAPL - $13,380.78
GD - $14,333.79

INGR - $12,555.57
XOM - $15,672.76
Total: $66,787.90

crimsonghost474
MSFT - $15,240.93
LHX - $12,348 (this is strangely not in their database, so using today’s 21.62% over the past year + 1.86% yield = 23.48%)
LMT - $10,315.75
BAM - $14,860.98
ASSA-B - $13,791 (using the 35.99% 1-year return Google reports, plus the 1.92% opening yield = 37.91%)

AAPL - $13,380.78
APD - $11,285.69

UNH - $14,488.90
Total: $65,636.63

lucas03
IIPR - $14,678.60
MO - $12,396.89
