What Did You Buy Today?
I nibbled on the DE as well.

But with that said there are still some high quality stocks at bargain prices. DE, GILD, DIS, LUV, CVS, KR and that's just to name a few. With the downgrade today of DE I was able to buy more $77.84.

I'm 25% cash, all the rest is invested. I'm typically 100% invested and have been for 20 years, just feeling different about this market lately and that's why I made this diversification move. Personally, I lived through two major downturns and both times wished I had a cash position to invest. I tend to be bullish, even earlier this year I was bullish, but this latest run up, at this particular time isn't sitting right with me. We're in the second longest bull market in history, maybe, just maybe this will be the longest bull run in history and I'll miss the final stage. I'm happy with my gains and decided to take some off the top and redeploy at a later date, I'm alright if I miss part of the 4th quarter.

When I was younger, I always told myself that when I got to a certain point in my investment horizon I would hold an "x" amount in cash, ~20%, that time has come and it just happens to be while we're living through the second longest bull run, not in our lifetimes, but in the history of the U.S. stock market. All good things come to an end and I'm being cautious at this time. The market, as a whole just seems a little stretched to me.

Apologize to everyone for stating anything but a "Buy" in this thread.

I think about this often, and am considering buying some puts when the market corrects.  I kicked myself in 2008 because I felt that I knew it was coming and just sat & watched it go down, down, down.  Next time, I might just load up on some puts.

Could you let us know a day or two before the market corrects so we can buy puts too? LOL

Yeah, that's the problem....
Bought a little NUE today. Like the fundamentals and should test old highs. Anyone else own?
Just glanced at my phone and found Gild is 8% down, what happened?

Lackluster earnings and lowered guidance.
My website: DGI For The DIY
Also on: Facebook - Twitter - Seeking Alpha
Gild is done. That PE is low for a reason. Unless they can make a acquisition this stock will continue to languish.
Bought some more DIS today. Also considering adding some TIF here.

I hope it stays that way for a couple more years.

I am thinking about adding TIF as well at these levels. I mean just look at the moves LB, TGT, and JWN have had the past few weeks. I'm thinking TIF can rebound as well. Nice buy on DIS. Everyone hates it now which is a good sign. Just look at what happened to AAPL after the close. Up over $6.
