RE: QCOM - Dividendsrule - 11-20-2015

Anyone buying here? I've never bought yet. Is Samsung dropping them not a big deal?

RE: QCOM - Roadmap2Retire - 11-20-2015

I bought some last month and would buy more if I had some dry powder ready in that account.

Traders are thinking that Qualcomm is all about smartphones...yes, it was for the last decade. While I think smartphones will still be a big part of the company in the next few years, theres a lot more to technological innovation than just smartphones. I have captured my thoughts in this post.

I have a full position already and I'm happy to have the dividends automatically reinvested.

The biggest winner of Mobile World Congress 2016 wasn't a phone or a phone manufacturer, but a phone chip manufacturer: Qualcomm. Having endured a rough time in 2015 due to heat and power issues with its Snapdragon 810 flagship-class processor, the American chipmaker has returned to form with its new Snapdragon 820 generation. Practically every smartphone manufacturer in attendance at MWC had a Snapdragon-powered device to show off to the world.

That new processor is winning a lot of accolades lately. Will be interesting to see how Qualcomm will win businesses back.

I'm likely jumping in. Too good to pass.

If only MSFT would go on a sale like this as well.

The joys of investing in industries like tech/pharma!

I recently bought some more so I won't be adding on the dip, but it does look like a nice opportunity.
