And congratulations! RE: 2021 Perfect Portfolio Competition - fenders53 - 01-08-2022 Thanks and congrats to the winners. By far the most competitive any of our contests have been. RE: 2021 Perfect Portfolio Competition - ken-do-nim - 01-08-2022 I wonder if anybody will even break $60,000 in the 2022 competition. Just one stock that loses say 10% and it gets tough. The chance of having that loser stock is pretty high when the SPY isn't running wildly higher. 2021 Perfect Portfolio Competition - bankerboy - 01-19-2022 I’m curious were anyone’s entire portfolios up more than 20% overall in 2021? I think we had four ports over 30% in early to mid DEC. All 7 of the portfolios I calculated final returns for were over that amount by a wide margin. 30%: $50,000 x 1.3 = $65,000. 6 of the 7 portfolios topped this amount as well. 40%: $50,000 x 1.4 = $70,000. kblake was achingly close, but my port managed to top this (45.88%) RE: 2021 Perfect Portfolio Competition - EricL - 01-19-2022 (01-19-2022, 08:20 AM)fenders53 Wrote:(01-19-2022, 08:03 AM)bankerboy Wrote: I’m curious were anyone’s entire portfolios up more than 20% overall in 2021?We'll ask Ken or Eric to post the final results. For BPYU I just entered the final price that was shown on Seeking Alpha for when it went private back in July. Here is the LINK, just click on the 2021 tab. RE: 2021 Perfect Portfolio Competition - fenders53 - 01-19-2022 Looks like six members beat SPY by at least three percentage points. That's very respectable considering the index had a great year. 2021 Perfect Portfolio Competition - bankerboy - 01-19-2022 (01-19-2022, 09:08 AM)EricL Wrote:(01-19-2022, 08:20 AM)fenders53 Wrote:(01-19-2022, 08:03 AM)bankerboy Wrote: I’m curious were anyone’s entire portfolios up more than 20% overall in 2021?We'll ask Ken or Eric to post the final results.
