I believe we have Chris Sale, Eduardo Rodriguez, and Nathan Eovaldi lined up for games 1-3, so there's definitely a chance.  I hope we wrap it up at Fenway on game 3 or 4!
There's a chance the series is wrapped up game 3 at Fenway.  I must have misunderstood you at first?   Smile

It's funny too because I read this detailed analysis that said that even though E-Rod hasn't had great stuff this year, the team scores a lot of runs when he pitches so the team wins the most when he goes.  And then a shutout.

Gamblers have the stats to prove it is the least predictable major team sport on a one game basis.  A team sport, but mostly a series of one on one match ups.  Misplace a pitch 6 inches and every hitter has a chance of getting on base.  At least half the lineup can jack it out of the park and a couple guys are highly likely to.  Add some big game pressure and things happen.  Just a couple well timed hits and a team has a big edge that night.  A couple of your pitchers get in lights out mode and you got a shot to win a series, even if your offense is mediocre.

Now the series is tied but the Sox are screwed. Both E-Rod and Chris Sale had dismal starts. Can't get far in the playoffs without solid starters.

You never know, and they are headed to your house now.  But one of them will have to step it up.  Pitching is so mental and it's hard for them to get their mojo back some times.  Over and over I've seen my Twins enter the playoffs with league MVPs and CY Young winners/candidates, then get swept repeatedly.  I think we hold the sad record of most consecutive playoff losses in any sport.

Championship series here we come!!!  And oddly, the only player I'm worried about is Chris Sale.

Yeah, I think that's true.  Really tough luck.

You probably need to be a White Sox fan this afternoon. No matter who you face in the ALCS it's an advantage to not face both #1 and #2 SPs to start a series.

I am happy to root for the White Sox.  Boo on the Astros!  (Not because they cheated a few years back, just because they kill the Red Sox in head-to-head competition).

There is always that team that gets in your team's head.  I don't hate-hate the Yankees, but I hate them lol.  We had a run against them when we were like 3-22 at Yankee Stadium.  The talent level was similar at the time.

It will get interesting if Rodon pitches well for the Sox today.  He is very capable of forcing game 5.

In all seriousness, we probably go 6-7 games this time.
