What Did You Buy Today?

But all their stores are now open and they are one the best positioned retailers to weather this retail storm. Solid balance sheet with at least $40 share in tangible assets. So they can afford to continue to pay dividend. I will put this under the speculative stock with potential lol. There on no Dillard's anywhere near me. The closest in VA and that's far away from PA LOL. But I have been in many when in the Houston and Dallas area.

HD and other big box retail works if the next stimulus is generous and happens very soon.  Next quarter will be interesting as it appears at least the first half will be stimulus free and things back to normal.   Valuations look iffy unless things go right.  Look like Momo plays right now.

HD will do well even without the stimulus checks. Especially when all these people out of jobs are making more being at home then at work lol. Even with the extra cut from $600 to $400. Crazy people just want to be lazy and not go back to work even though they can ;Wink

Home Depot and Lowe’s will be packed no matter how slow things are. So I’m not worried about the future. Both stocks will be over $300 and $200 soon.
Thinking to buy LOW, looks more attractive compared to HD. May be sell puts for October 16th.
Added T. Bought back my BMRN puts today.

Apple been kicking it, touching $500. That's a 20% gains since split was announced. Does that even make sense?

Cali having fires again and other parts of country strorms and what not. Bad for people but perfect for HD and LOW to get more business.
I heard an analyst's interesting take on LOW versus HD. They both tend to have similar price performance over the long haul and due to LOW's recent out performance compared to HD, the play is that they will converge at some point. So either short LOW's and buy HD or both.
They both have a month to excel unless a stimulus comes then it's to the moon. 30% over performance last quarter. about 20% right now. I can't know what the stock price will do, just commenting on the financials. Enjoying the 'rona cash bonuses and other benefits while they last. Stimulus has to come or the game will be over soon enough. There is nothing better about now other than free money to the masses.
I bought some CAT in my sons account on Friday.
I had a limit order in my daughter's account for RTX good that it dint get executed, down 2% after hours. Might buy tomorrow.

Yeah the Dow add or taken out means nothing. No one cares about the Dow 30 anymore. It’s all about the S&P 500. AMGN, CRM and HON up that much after hours is crazy. They will all sell off from those after hours highs and the open. I think adding RTX would be a wise move.

But will say getting rid of XOM was a good move. They should have also bumped DOW out and replaced with COST.  KO with PEP and INTC with NVDA Wink Mine as well have replaced all the dead weight lol

Not too big a deal long-term, other than getting kicked out of some of the ETFs, but DOW 30s are the minority anyway.  DOW is still tracked by everyone, but it has changed so often it doesn't mean so much.  It only goes up because they add a few winners and take the dogs out back and shoot them every 10 years.  It rolls over a lot in just a few decades.  I wasn't thrilled to see PFE and especially RTX kicked out though.  I have covered calls sold against some of the shares though.
added ABBV and AEP
Sold out of my SLV for a 22% gain and bought BIGC with the proceeds in my trading account.

Initial position into RTX. Added to XOM & PFE.
