What Did You Buy Today?
Nibbled on some BBL, AGN (backdoor into cheap Pfizer upon merger), and AAPL.

EDIT See my BBL rationale in the dividend announcement thread if you like.

What are the details of the AGN/PFE deal for shareholders? (cutoff dates, share conversions, etc?)

11.3 shares of PFE for every share of AGN, not quite sure when the conversions and cutoff dates actually are.

Bloomberg article : http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2...ion-merger

8-K : http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1...024d8k.htm

8-K talks about termination fees around March 1 if voted down, and also mentions October 31 as a termination right, one of the reasons for such is if the law changes around inversions. So there might be some risk for this deal not happening, but if it happens, you are basically buying a share of Pfizer at a 15% discount or so.
It looks to me like this is happening, they look pretty serious : http://seekingalpha.com/news/3088916-pfi...onsummated

Also AGN is hustling to make regulators happy by selling their generics to Teva : http://seekingalpha.com/news/3121716-tev...ergan-deal

So things are happening. It's not a sure bet yet...So we'll see what happens.

Bought a little SWK today. I think its a great buy at $93. Yields 2.35%
Had to get a tiny tiny batch of CM.TO (CIBC) again after the surprisingly good report today.
I'm nibbling on BUD...Withholding tax be danged, I can just claim foreign tax credit. Their impending acquisition should be more money in the EPS pot, and they just raised the dividend 20% this morning. Those 3Gers know what they're doing (I hope).
Man... market looks so boring lately, there's nothing appealing to buy :S
I strayed from DGI a bit and bought a bunch of Carolina Trust Bank (CART) right below $6/share. Although they don't yet pay a dividend, they are a debt-free FCF cow that trades at under 5 times earnings. This is more of a value play, but at some point down the road they may pay dividends, as many regional banks do. I also own Southside Bankshares (SBSI).
Last Friday I bought ~1/3 position in DUK and SO. I'm not to proud of how much I paid but I hope to keep them for a really long time.
I bought some ADM yesterday, I think it's a solid & cheap dividend stock at the moment.

I agree ADM way too good of a value here. $30 book value. 3.5% divi.. It's a matter of time until their ethanol business gets back to normal with higher oil prices. Its getting hard to find much value left in this market to buy. I added to ADM last week and bought some FL, LLY and AMGN yesterday!

Now might not be a time to look for values, but rather to add to other positions that can reduce your cost basis since initial purchase.
