Portfolio Update 11/10
#1
This is my core investing portfolio of longer term dividend stocks. Weighting is relative to this subset of the portfolio which is about 40% of overall portfolio value. To date, SFL which is not included below, has not had any calls written, but perhaps will sell some near the next ex. dividend date if the share price cooperates. The other 60% of the portfolio is invested in more transient plays, almost all covered call positions. This is a much more aggressive portfolio than most of you would like, but it suits my needs just fine.

Have recently started the exposure to emerging markets, as to me they are depressed to the extend that over time should provide out performance as compared to U.S. stocks. They also price a pretty decent yield. Have recently increased exposure to energy in the face of collapsing oil prices. IMO this represents a shorter term issue and is providing very nice entry, especially in the midstream segment which gets paid by volume and is therefore not influenced so much by the energy prices themselves. Picked up SDRL only recently at average price of near $22. Even with a 50% hair cut the dividend will remain attractive.
