Core Holdings
#1
If you had to pick 10 core holdings to buy for the next 10 years, what names would they be?

My 10 core holding would be.....

JNJ, PEP, RTN, VZ, MMM, PPG, AFL, HD, D and CVX

The reason why I choose these 10 is because not only are they great dividend growth stocks, but they should also hold up better then some of the other names out there. But there's a lot of good name out there.

What are you top 10?  I thought this would be fun. Thanks

I knew I had done this before: Big Grin

Good to know nothing changed in ~6 months, I'd still keep my picks!

My 11 stocks considering diversification per sector:

Healthcare: JNJ
Energy: XOM
Basic materials: DOW
Tech: MSFT
Utilities: ED
Financials: V
Consumer discretionary: NKE
Consumer staples: PEP
Telecom: T
REIT: O
Industrials: BA

In full honestly V and NKE is considering my long term view towards retirement, if I was retired or about to, I would go with WFC and probably VFC, not really sure on this one.

If you just want 10, I'd remove O because I invest in taxable accounts.

Hmmmm ... missed the update on the other thread a couple weeks ago. Huh

My choices then pretty much stay the same: MSFT, JNJ, XOM, MMM, T, UL/UN, RY and SO.

Maybe I'd swap D for SO but that's still up in the air.

To get to 10, I'd have to add a couple others: PEP and RTN/LMT/GD (you pick).
