First of all, great to hear that your wife is doing better, I can't imagine the struggle that must have been for your family.

Secondly, I don't own CF, although I did own POT at one time. I've come to the conclusion that the sector is too volatile for my tastes and for now don't have any holdings in the materials sector. CF is a good company though, so if the sector rebounds it could have decent capital gains potential.

As for ideas, here are some that I think are trading at reasonable valuations for your watch list.

T, CVS, HD, TGT, GILD, ABBV, AMGN, ABT, CAH, FLO, AMP

CVX, OXY and SU are still providing decent yields if you are willing to take some volatility in the oil sector.

Thank you EricL. Yeah it has been tough financially, but things are much better now. I am trying to make up for lost time. 

I didn't think about the insane volatility associated with CF and that industry. I have looked into it a bit now and I agree with you. Thanks for that nugget of information!
