What I Am Buying Today.
my recent buys have been

AMZN
UNH
ELV
TMO
DHR
DE

i've been building up positions in UNH--ELV--TMO--DHR--DE

i've also been trimming some tech, nvda--msft--shop--lrcx and offsetting some gains with tax loss harvesting from iipr--sq--pypl

tech swelled up to almost 40% of portfolio--so the goal is to get that down to 25 to 30%, easier said then done dealing with taxes

I will stay away from solar stocks. Too much uncertainty in that sector. Plus none pay a dividend.

Would rather just own LOW on a big pullback if we ever get one lol

Wow EXR getting crushed. One of few bad investments. Deciding if I should hold onto or not. I know lots own the stock in here. Any thoughts?

I'm not selling anything, but have as much as I want to own right now.

I think there's just noise around the recent acquisition, and they are also being hurt a bit by higher interest rates. It's been a good long-term performer, so I'll stick with it.

Earlier in the week I sold out of UPST completely and sprinkled the proceeds to all the other stocks in my portfolio. I sold at $66, it soared up to $71 literally minutes after I did so, but now it's back to $60 so I'm looking smarter Smile

Of course UPST will continue to represent me in my 2023 perfect portfolio competition, even if I'm sold out in 'real life'.

(I sold out because, with mortgage rates so high, loan originations across the board are down, so I'm worried they won't make their lofty analyst expectations. For all the AI-hype, they are still a loan origination company, and subject to housing demand like everyone else.)
