I just don’t see many buys right now even though they have come down a lot. Numbers still need to be lowered. So you can’t judge what the real valuations are yet.
UPS I saw someone posted is at a bargain right now. The real bargain was at $85-90 2 years ago. Not such a bargain right now in this environment. My point is I think things get even cheaper.
I like the buy 1-3 share philosophy as some listed. Go in slow, or you may be down 20% in a week and can’t average down.
Fenders maybe we can get WEN at $10 again
I agree 100%. All I have been doing is adding a share here or 2 lol
This morning added HD, BLK, TROW, SBUX and BLK

I'm always adding a share or two, doesn't matter what market we are in.
The real question is when to start adding more? I haven't figured that out, and obviously haven't started to do that yet, but I think we are getting close to where I will feel comfortable to start pushing extra money into the market.

Same here. Added 100 of TROW
Also added some D, DUK, SWK and SBUX
I'm holding off on HD. I don't think earnings next week will be good. Thinking $250 to add

I like the moves. Both have virtually no debt and are trading at historic low levels and pay a nice dividend as you wait.
I actually trimmed some ABBV finally after that big move and added TROW, BX, TD and TXRH

I don’t know why but I may take a small position in CHWY lol. Did everyone stop owning pets
There just selling at will. Trying to get the day traders out of here. I think it’s more the SEC is sending a message. At some point things are going to rocket back up.
It’s only a loss on paper. Don’t sell and stay the course. We have seen this all before. Go play some golf or head to the bar lol
I lost lots and I’m trying not to sweat it Some great quality names on sale but I’m can’t buy anymore. I’m pretty much fully invested now. We’re in the process of buying a new house so that’s where my money is going lol . All I have to spare is like 5k. But if I wait a bit longer 5 k May get you a lot more names lol
At least with the market tanking I can own more shares from dividend reinvesting. That’s the only positive I can take out this.
And I’m starting to feel stronger. My doctor said things are looking better. And that news makes losing money so much better haha
Hope everyone is doing well

i was going through cancer treatments during the Great Recession 2008/09...i had countless friends calling me in a panic telling me to SELL SELL SELL...by that time my portfolio went from 213--214K to 104K and most if not all was in my kplan--tax deferred--where was i going to go?? i remember telling them if i cash out i can't even pay off my house...
i had 30% survival rate, that means 70% chance to meet our maker
i didn't care about losing money then, and now? i just think about that time to remember
who cares it will be what it will be
the sad part? a lot of those people who helped me through that cancer ordeal are now themselves gone
the market always comes back, some of us don't
good luck and stay strong!

Love it!
Agree with most here. Been nibbling on a bit of BEN on the way down. I like TROW too, but BEN just seems slightly better on multiple metrics to me.
I may also pull the trigger on some more PARA and O at these levels.
It has been a stressful downdraft, but I don't think we're nearly at "blood in the streets" levels. Nothing would surprise me from here -- down more, rocket back up, just meander around between 3750 and 4250 for a long time, until the world sorts itself out a bit.
But I'll definitely be thinking about what to buy

That's awesome news!! So glad to hear that you're feeling better.
U took a proper beating yesterday, now I finally know what it feels like to invest in hype stocks.
Now, not talking about U here since no one likes to see their stuff dive 30% in a day, but overall I'm still loving these red days. We all knew just about everything was overvalued until recently, and now finally valuations are returning to a more reasonable level. I still want to see more red... the lower we go the cheaper I can buy stuff.
