Oh my poor SBUX.  I'm underwater now.

Admittedly I don't like the coffee; but the chai tea lattes are nice and the food items are actually pretty good.  But zero?  Kinda harsh?

Yeah!  SBUX to zero then delist them.

I'm just angry because I didn't buy SBUX around 1998 when Motley Fool was pumping it like a million apes on Gamestop.   Big Grin

The Starbucks in the center of my town just closed, to my great surprise. I didn't think they did that.

Smart chains monitor the demographics and move the assets around.  Many are franchises of course, but most of the national chains I dined at 20 years ago have move 5 or 25 blocks.

Don't panic sell your SBUX shares today Ken.  We are just having fun lol.

The Starbucks in Sharon center (town where I grew up) closed many years ago. An even more awesome cafe took its place so it was a good deal.

Current worst positions in my account:
COF, down 10.66% - excellent fundamentals; P/E is 5.63.
SBUX, down 7.11% - P/E is 43, so yeah, I see the difference Smile
DFS, down 5.8% - P/E is 7.25
OHI, down 4.43%
RIO, down 4.32%

I'm hanging in there and not panic selling, which has largely led to mistakes this year. Only the first two are full positions anyway; the other 3 are ~$500.

On the other hand, I am strongly considering trimming the shares of DFEN that are underwater and moving the proceeds over to DRN.

Okay, that's done Smile And since DRN is one of the few triple leveraged funds that gives a dividend (it's all REITs), my annual estimated income is up to $6804. Note that E*Trade doesn't include the supplemental dividend that HTGC provides in that estimate, but it's a nice feature that it pre-calculates that for you.

Go slow with that.  They are oversold.  When I get aggravated with a sector I try to go slow, trim and wait a few days.  If DFEN isn't leveraged there is no need to sell at all.  Might be dead money in the short term.  Selling it and jumping on Momo just gets you hurt again.  Get used to sector rotations.  If you are diversified everything usually doesn't run up together.  2020 conditioned us to think that is normal.  It's actually rare.

Sorry I acted too fast to take in your comment, but (a) I still have plenty of DFEN left and (b) my DRN was too low since I dissolved the bulk of it to buy UPST, which btw didn't really work out yet Smile
