I came across these articles lately and some twitter followers I follow were screaming about the health insurance premiums shooting thru the roof. Wasnt this the whole point of Obamacare (or Affordable Care Act, if you will)? Wasnt the healthcare act supposed to control these costs? Can someone ELI5 (explain like Im 5 yrs old) to a non-American on how this works (how do ppl afford healthcare when they are rising 7 times faster than inflation rate)?

Also, whats your take on investing in the health insurance companies - I know there is some M&A going on and some are good dividend payers - but not sure if they are dividend growers. Need to look into em. Do you own any?
