There is no doubt that the emotional side of investing can and does have an impact on individual investors.
Most of what I have read is that it tends to contribute to non-productive sell decisions.
Perhaps many investors, having made fair to good decisions about what companies to buy would have their results improve by a bit of status quo bias.
What do you think?
