Be careful what you wish for. Yes, a collapse will provide some bargains. It will generate a lot of pain as well. It seems that it just takes a modest shift in production and sentiment for a market to move into contraction, with all of the problems and suffering that causes. I'm in the process of feathering in to existing positions, but so far it has cost me about $45,000 to save a buck at the pump. The cheap fill ups just don't bring much of a smile these days!
