There just selling at will. Trying to get the day traders out of here. I think it’s more the SEC is sending a message. At some point things are going to rocket back up.
It’s only a loss on paper. Don’t sell and stay the course. We have seen this all before. Go play some golf or head to the bar lol
I lost lots and I’m trying not to sweat it Some great quality names on sale but I’m can’t buy anymore. I’m pretty much fully invested now. We’re in the process of buying a new house so that’s where my money is going lol . All I have to spare is like 5k. But if I wait a bit longer 5 k May get you a lot more names lol
At least with the market tanking I can own more shares from dividend reinvesting. That’s the only positive I can take out this.
And I’m starting to feel stronger. My doctor said things are looking better. And that news makes losing money so much better haha
Hope everyone is doing well
i was going through cancer treatments during the Great Recession 2008/09...i had countless friends calling me in a panic telling me to SELL SELL SELL...by that time my portfolio went from 213--214K to 104K and most if not all was in my kplan--tax deferred--where was i going to go?? i remember telling them if i cash out i can't even pay off my house...
i had 30% survival rate, that means 70% chance to meet our maker
i didn't care about losing money then, and now? i just think about that time to remember
who cares it will be what it will be
the sad part? a lot of those people who helped me through that cancer ordeal are now themselves gone
the market always comes back, some of us don't
good luck and stay strong!
Only 30%, wow. I'm so glad you were given a second chance in life.
How long did it take your portfolio to return to over $214k?
