The most surprising game so far of this postseason for the Red Sox, to me, was actually the first game against the Rays. Shane McClanahan and relievers shut out the Red Sox, which is very hard to do. Other than that our playoff low so far is 4 runs.
I said early that I thought the AL East would represent the AL. Surviving a division with four teams good enough to be in the playoffs usually pays off. Unlike the White Sox. They were solid, but playing 120 games against AAA+ level talent doesn't prepare you.
