If you haven't checked your current yields on your variable rate settlement accounts, money markets etc. you might want to give them a look. I usually, do but I haven't for only a couple months. The reasons are obvious and I understand why I don't get risk free 2% yield anymore, but some of my yields fell off cliff. I was surprised to see a few threatening to go sub .50% after the small fund fees are subtracted. They were over 1% just a few months ago, and 2% maybe 15 months ago. That doesn't work for me at all during the times my asset allocation gets a little cashy. I guess the upside is this will make people think twice before they completely abandon equities for long.
