Ford...?
#1
I've been watching this company for a while. The entry price seems nice, Morningstar likes the direction they're going, dividend is quite nice--this could be a good ground floor buy-in for a company ready to make a come back (though its stock price really hasn't appreciated much over the last few years).

Thoughts?

# Shares has doubled in last decade
Current P/E is lower than Forward P/E
Debt / Equity = 4.4
Paltry ROIC
Only 3 years of paying dividends

Personally I would pass with no hesitation

I'm holding some F that I picked up when it was around $9 a share. With a cyclical stock like F (or DE is another that jumps to mind), I need more of an obvious discount than with other core DG stocks. I haven't done a deep dive on F in a while, and am not sure how I feel at $13 to $14. It is a nice discount from the $17 or so it was selling for not too long ago.

I read somewhere that the high debt amount is attributed simply due to the nature of business as it is capital intensive. I cant seem to find that article now.

But others like GM seem to have a much lower debt. Hmmm

Does it have to do with their consumer finance division?
