The Kinder Morgan family of companies announced dividend increases today. I own KMI

Kinder Morgan, Inc. ( KMI) today reported second quarter cash available to pay dividends of $332 million, up 13 percent from $294 million for the same period a year ago, and remains on track to meet or exceed its published annual budget of $1.78 billion in cash available to pay dividends. For the first six months of the year, KMI reported cash available to pay dividends of $905 million, up 12 percent from $807 million for the same period last year. KMI’s board of directors increased the quarterly cash dividend to $0.43 per share ($1.72 annualized) payable on Aug. 15, 2014, to shareholders of record as of July 31, 2014. This represents an 8 percent increase over the second quarter 2013 cash dividend per share of $0.40 ($1.60 annualized), and is up from the first quarter 2014 dividend of $0.42 per share ($1.68 annualized).

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. ( KMP) today increased its quarterly cash distribution per common unit to $1.39 ($5.56 annualized) payable on Aug. 14, 2014, to unitholders of record as of July 31, 2014. This represents a 5 percent increase over the second quarter 2013 cash distribution per unit of $1.32 ($5.28 annualized) and is up from $1.38 per unit ($5.52 annualized) for the first quarter of 2014.

El Paso Pipeline Partners, L.P. ( EPB) today announced its second quarter cash distribution per common unit of $0.65 ($2.60 annualized) payable on Aug. 14, 2014, to unitholders of record as of July 31, 2014. This represents a 3 percent increase over the second quarter 2013 cash distribution per unit of $0.63 ($2.52 annualized) and is the same as the first quarter 2014 distribution.

Union Pacific (UNP) raised quarterly dividend from $0.455 to $0.50, an increase of 9.9%.

This is their second increase this year.

WAG increased the dividend by 7.1%.

ITW increased the dividend by 15%.

MO increases from .48 per quarter to .52 per quarter starting with the October dividend! A nice 8-plus percent raise! What a champ of a DG stock that one is.
