What I Am Buying Today.

I got out a while back, but I will keep watching it.  The accounting team might suck, but my understanding is that they have a good product.

Nice to see another HTGC fan.

Here are the high yielders I currently invest in:

ABR: 12.1%
ARCC: 8.68%
BXSL: 9.66%
FSK: 11.96% + frequent bonus
HTGC: 8.42% + frequent bonus
IIPR: 7.11%
MAIN: 5.31% + frequent bonus
OMF: 7.27% qualified div
OXLC: 20.38%
RA: 10.43%
RQI: 7.08%
VZ: 6.23%

With the notable exception of OXLC, these guys all hold their value pretty well over the long term.  OXLC has been stable the last couple of years, but of course that could change.  Still, they raised the dividend in 2024, and they are doing well.  Definitely the guilty pleasure of the lot lol.

When the port is ready for retirement, OMF will likely be the largest holding of these.  Not only is it qualified, but it also gets decent growth (32.71% over the past 5 years, including 31.88% over the past year).  It also has been giving regular dividend increases.  When I first joined this website, everyone said start with XOM or MO, but I think now OMF is the core DGI holding.

Dropped from the list recently were ECC and HRZN, because they couldn't hold their price.

Love those 3 of course.

Well, I'd recommend taking a good look at FSK.  From a price chart perspective, it was up at $25/share pre-covid-crash.  Since March 2021 it's been very stable at ~ $20/share.  It's the highest div payer out of all of these save OXLC.  The base dividend is 11.65% at 0.64/share, but they always give an additional $.06/share bonus and frequently a $.05/share bonus.  From a DGI perspective, they raised the dividend in March 2023 and the payout has been stable since then.  With both bonuses it's already around 14% so I don't think they need to raise it further.

Yeah you’ve done amazingly with Tesla.  Super kudos on that.

My top 5 holdings are FNGU, AVGO/AVGX, NVDA/NVDL, TECL, & USD.  I’m still hoping Nvidia can wake up for a Christmas boost. I’m $30k below my all-time high.

NVDA has been and will continue to be a long term hold of mine--I will trim but I'll most likely add somewhere down the line too. Currently it's #1 in my top 10.

my top 10 currently is

NVDA
GOOG/GOOGL
MSFT
AAPL
TSLA
AMZN
XOM
BX
AVGO
BRK.B

Yeah you don't do the etfs like I do.

I used to have BX; I should get it back one of these days. In general I need financial equities for diversification purposes, and I know they've been doing quite well the past 14-15 months. Since October 27th 2023, FAS is up 228%.
