Does anybody advocate for IBM?

No thanks on IBM.

They are late to the party on cloud and will likely never catch up.  They still have shrinking businesses on-board (mainframes).  

It's a show me stock - I want to see actual growth before considering it.

Seriously, IBM is up 42% over the past year (!), and has been on a tear since mid-2023.
