Site Down for a Few Days
#1
Hello?

There was a problem with the site's hosting that took us offline for a few days. I'm hopeful we're back up and running. Any reply to this message greatly appreciated to reassure me we're back up properly (and not just for me).

Thanks!

Looking good from here. I was hoping it went down from posting overload but seems I was mistaken.

I'm relieved too. For a moment it looked like all the threads and posts might have been lost. But all seems well. However, it is a bit of a wake-up call for me to invest more in the site. Need to get SSL certificate, and maybe hire someone to do all the needed infrastructure updates. Anyway -- thanks for your patience!

Ok, another day or two of hiccups there. I finally got the SSL certificate configured for the site -- we're httpS now! -- but it broke the CMS there for a bit until I could figure it out.

Please let me know if the site is functioning normally for you now of if you are having issues (or other functionality requests). I'm going to try to put more energy into getting everything updated and improved, and after that I going to try to do a bit of marketing and see if we can't get a few more people back and liven things up here again.

Working fine for me. I've been a bit busy with family health issues lately so haven't checked every day.

I understand the seeming echoes in here. Sometimes DGI is as exciting as watching paint dry. Seeking Alpha is all about $$$ these days, most of the dividend growth web sites are in hyper marketing mode with boilerplate bullshit in all their articles. Some haven't been updated in years.

I have a couple things to contribute but no one seems to want to discuss anything but the hot stock(s) of the day and my posts can be long, technical and boring for most.

Indeed. Well, I appreciate you sticking around! I know I go long stretches neglecting the site, but have a little more focus and time these days. So I will put some energy into improving the site's infrastructure and then see if I can attract some more members.

And I'll be happy to read your long and wonky posts!
