Not sure how much faith to put in this, but it sure was an interesting and contrary read. Argument is that in a decade, we'll have labor shortages to contend with, as opposed to high unemployment.

That is right on target. There are already labor shortages in some occupational groups in some geographies.
Have just retired from the community college sector and having had significant exposure to labor economics in my job, it is expected and will probably happen withing fewer years than 10

Huh. I had thought current shortages were limited to some narrow, high-skill areas like health care (nurses especially, and primary care doctors). But that for most other groups of employment-seekers, there is still a pretty serious surplus of un- and under-employed.

From what I've heard and read, there seem to be plenty of openings for high skill, high training types of jobs. Just are not many jobs for Joe Sixpack, nor for those who have gotten cut from old economy, obsolete employment.
