Mediocre stock picker's final portfolio (I hope) - NilesMike - 12-22-2022

Nearing semi retirement, I am simplifying things beginning with the sale of an investment property in 2023. Funds will be rolled into the following portfolio.

The criteria of the stocks in the portfolio are: Dividend Aristocrat, outperformed the S&P soundly with superior risk adjusted returns. They also had to outperform the S&P during the following periods: GFC 2007-2009, the flat decade 2000-2012 and long term 2000-2022. Long term performance 5.5X S&P with 1/2 drawdown of S&P.
Open for critique, here it goes:

MCD
ABT
LIN
HRL
O
BRO
BDX
CVX
CHD
GPC
SHW

Equally weighted and a percentage will be withdrawn from portfolio each year.

My concern is that, given your criteria, you are not allowing yourself to be invested in some of the newer stellar companies like BroadCom and Abbvie.

That is true but by the same token I wouldn't have to be able to find the next newer great performer and get to avoid the whole headache.
