All the analysts like Cramer were pumping DASH last night and this morning. Targets were raised to $160-$180 and all the talk was all the restaurants need them or they cant survive.

It was $132 in the pre-market. opened up at $115 and now it's a $100.

I cant make this shit up lol

And no I don't have a position. Just pointing out don't ever trust these analyst

I see MMM was downgraded. Time to buy Wink
As of feb 15th, Morningstar considers it a buy with a fair value of 192.

DASH has a $36B market cap on $4.9B in revenues that generated a loss of $463 million.

It lost more money in 2021 than it did in 2020 despite growing revenues by $2B.

How do you put a value on something like that? The more I dabble in growth stocks, the more difficulty I have with the concept.

All is great when everything goes up, but when the bubble pops...

I could be talked into that.  You have to go to their website though. zomedica.com  It's looks pretty legit if you don't dig into their financials.  Last I looked they are going to have to dilute to keep the lights on much longer.  Probably during a decent hype run.   It's going to zero someday. I think the market makers keep a floor under it to keep the game going.  I've noticed it will sometimes run when the real markets are getting beat up.

I sit on the edge of my seat every day I own them.  I generally use put sells to play because I can give myself some cushion and have more room to run out the door with a smaller loss if it goes real bad fast.  I got so lucky leaving last fall.  Fastly got smoked today as well.  A friend of mine rode that thing for a 3X+ in 2020 and was smart enough to get his money off the table, then some profit.  He was paying for a top ten rated (at the time) investor service which worked in 2020.  Everything he touched was gold, then everyone of them crashed really hard.  TTD-TDOC-FSLY-ROCU and a half dozen more.  They were overvalued when he bought and they did a moonshot that lasted for six months or more. I only played a couple because I knew most of it would end bad.

FWIW I sold out of my SQ, RBLX, TTD, and SHOP yesterday and my AMZN and a few shares of NVDA last Friday.

I still had nice gains in them after their big drops, I wasn't about to lose that as well.

Went bigger into energy/copper. As storage continues to draw, I think the energy bull market has legs.

Good for you Eric. You knew the valuation was beyond ludicrous.  When you score on stuff like that, giving it all back is just reckless.  I was more careful on the specs, but on a percentage basis you probably did much better.

Unfortunately I need to be out of the options game for the moment.
If I were still playing options, I'd be all over PLTR here. Good premiums, and in my view a company that will do well in the future. Their business plan is good, no doubt about it. Now it's just up to the marketing department to sell enough to turn it into a profitable company.

Well, if they were truly good at what they do... then they'd be sitting in a nice paradise island, or a mountain top cabin, or similar.. sipping some fancy cocktails and trading from their laptop with both their wife and their girlfriend in their arms at the same time. Instead, they are sitting in an office for ridiculous hours, wearing a suit and working for someone else. That tells me all I need to know about their skills.

RE: What I Am Buying Today. - fenders53 - 02-17-2022

Rough close in progress. I kind of expected this tomorrow with war risk over the weekend. I have covered calls sold on most everything and will be closing many of those for a nickel soon. Doesn't always work but it sure is lately. A few stocks are finally in my buy range, at least for a nibble.

There's probably no point for me in looking at the market until this whole war thing blows over.

Off Topic: I have yet to find an article that tries to theorize how the Ukrainian military will do against the Russian onslaught.  Are we talking a 3 day war?  A month?  Three months?  Can they actually hold them off?

Spoiler alert, you got beat up like anybody else with a healthy dose of tech.  I have some green stocks today but not by much.

Just my opinion but Russia could take key cities in a week or two, then spend years getting the villagers under control because they will likely get assistance, whether advertised or not.  After awhile the market will ignore it.  So many reasons the market can dip any day.  Hopefully we get a blow off bottom soon and be done with it.  Bulls haven't given up yet IMO.
