OAK & BAM acquisition - rayray - 09-11-2019
Just a FYI, in case anyone has Oaktree shares (OAK) they're being acquired by Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) the options are money or a conversion of OAK to BAM shares (either option subject to be prorated). I had to call my broker to choose the option of the share conversion to BAM shares. If I did not call, I would have received the cash option--not a fan of taxes--so not my choice if can be avoided.
I've been watching and researching BAM for a while and it's been a company I wanted to invest, so moving in the right direction and really good since I'm not a fan of selling shares lol.
