Sector asset allocation? - rayray - 10-09-2015

Having moving into DGI for over a year now I recently wondered what is the sector asset allocation of a properly weighted portfolio?

In the US you have a great selection of DG stocks to choose from. Once you've decided on how many stocks you want in your portfolio, say 25 to 100, then you can decide to choose stocks from various sectors. In my opinion one does not have to have every sector covered or have an extensive list of stocks.

Certainly different sectors react at different times and to different factors, but if your major concern is capital appreciation than go for it. However, its Income Growth I'm concerned about and diversification or asset allocation has much less to do with my decisions.
