Between the earnings miss and short report I haven’t seen it this low in a while. So I said why not lol. You in on this one too Fenders ?I haven't researched it. Hadn't heard of it until you and Otter were discussing it last week. I am trying to not add too many more new names. We'll see how long that lasts. And a lot of high stock prices Did you sell other stocks to make room for them, or did you have a lot of cash sitting around? So, bullish on Amazon? Do tell. My personal ARCC target is $16.37, so great to know we are in the same ballpark. All that's required for the 16s is a 20% market correction. Not out of the realm of possibility by any stretch. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 08-27-2021
Added to AMZN (a lot), AZO, ADBE, BRK.b, and GOOGL. A lot of non-dividend payers there.
You aren't messing around today. I am really hoping for a dip so I can fill out my positions in AMZN and GOOGL. Berkshire is on my list for the next market crash. I regret I didn't add to all of those last year. I've made a lot of money trading AMZN and the sell usually looked not so great 6 months later. If the market stays bullish will be at $4K next year. AMZN hypergrowth stock price days are likely over but it is much less expensive than most of quality tech. I'll have to update myself on AZO but last I looked I wasn't interested. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - stockguru - 08-27-2021 Added some JNJ under $173 today. Guess I bought because it had a dip and its hard to find quality stocks to buy anymore lol RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 08-27-2021
Added some JNJ under $173 today. Guess I bought because it had a dip and its hard to find quality stocks to buy anymore lol
I try to only add JNJ when the next gazillion dollar lawsuit is filed against them, but you'll probably get buy with it. I had to roll a few put sells forward but no buys today. I'll get a buying opportunity eventually. It's getting tough for sure. Guess I bought because it had a dip and its hard to find quality stocks to buy anymore lol I checked up on JNJ today and would have gotten back into it too if I had any fresh funds available. Have a great weekend everybody! RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 08-28-2021 Forget about JNJ. I am gathering funds for the IPO Rivian has filed for. Only $80B to get in on their truck that doesn't actually exist yet. Ford market CAP is about $50B if you weren't aware. 80B isn't likely to actually happen by showtime but the mere suggestion makes a statement about the loose casino we all play in right now. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - ken-do-nim - 08-30-2021 https://finance.yahoo.com/news/stock-market-news-live-updates-august-30-2021-113412617.html Futures are up, once again. I'm actually hoping the market goes down today. It needs to cool off. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 08-30-2021 We'd probably be better off if we could get a 5% SPY/QQQ dip out of the way soon. Powell keeps talking the market out of it. Gradually getting us used to the idea of tapering so it won't be much of a event. We may just keep on gradually climbing until we get something more substantial to worry about. I'm sitting on 40% cash so I am waiting for those buying opportunities. $5-$10 moves in some of these stocks doesn't even entice me . I need huge moves down. Those who are sitting on no cash or few cash are going to get hurt sooner or later. That mentality of buy high and keep buying higher will catch up to you soon enough. I have trimmed a lot of names in recent days. I'm not giving it back and will wait patiently for once . I have done very few buying the past 6 weeks. Glad I added a lot of BX at that $110-$111 range on that pullback BMY waiting on $64 Have been adding to NUSI and ABBV below $112 and CVX below $95 for a place to earn income while I wait for better opportunities That's about all for me. Not much else going on. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - ken-do-nim - 08-30-2021 40% cash, wow. > Those who are sitting on no cash or few cash are going to get hurt sooner or later. That and PRU are my next acquisitions, when I have funds again.
