RE: What Did You Buy Today? - ken-do-nim - 05-08-2021 Has anybody looked at Hasbro stock (HAS)? The 1 year chart has them going pretty steadily from 70 to 100, 2.74% dividend, decent P/E of 33, and they make games. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 05-08-2021 Good company. I'd like it better on a dip for a big purchase. It's near fair value now IMO if next few quarters meet expectations. The sector interests you so maybe buy a little each quarter? I won't have any new money for a while, so I'll just put it onto my future purchase list. This whole investing thing will be so much more fun when I can reinvest the dividends and make little purchases nearly every day. In fact if you take out the 2 years 2017 and 2020 of that ETF big performance it’s only up 5.6 percent. She is way over hyped and if you watched that CNBC interview yesterday. OMG you would have pulled your money out that second. What a train wreck!! ?? She invested into momentum stocks, the momentum is over. Now she has to wait for SP500 to catch up, it'll take years of stagnation. A few good years doesn’t make you a legend like Buffet lol. Move on, nothing to see here ? RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 05-08-2021 (05-08-2021, 08:50 AM)divmenow Wrote:Pretty sure Buffet hasn't beaten Joe Lunchbucket's returns feeding his SP500 Index 401k the past 20yrs. His performance is below average for most of my investing career. Still a legend to me because he put down 30+ amazing years before that. Thankfully he bought one stock or he would be getting heat. Peter Lynch had it right. Play about 14 seasons and win the Superbowl most years, then go fishing before age 50. He would be less amazing if he hadn't missed 2000-2010(05-08-2021, 12:28 AM)vbin Wrote:(05-07-2021, 01:25 PM)stockguru Wrote: ARKK has lost 45 points since the peek. Just depends if you want to cherry pick the time period to make you case. There are still zero actively managed funds that have outperformed Kathie of five years. She is way over-hyped IMO, and investors are way jealous because few even sniffed HALF her returns. I don't like how she has invested through this beat down. Not at all. She looked like she thought she could single-handedly keep them from crashing. Nobody can do that when entire sectors go risk-off. We'll see what it all looks like in a year. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 05-08-2021 Just know that as I type this, Dogecoin has a higher market cap than the combined total of Dollar General, and YUM, the parent company of all Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza restaurants other than China. Makes sense to me. Makes sense to me. Not any more it’s down .24 right now. Bag holders. All expected Musk to bring it to new highs on SNL. When will investors learn lol ? RE: What Did You Buy Today? - rayray - 05-09-2021 okay it's been a while for any buy updates i've added to ipoe (sofi merge closer)/gild/mga/kr/vz/mo/tsm/vrtx/tdoc RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 05-09-2021 (05-09-2021, 09:05 AM)divmenow Wrote:OK, so pull Dollar General valuation off the market CAP. Now only worth 50,000 restaurants. He couldn't stir it up any more without causing himself excessive problems. Some of our stocks ran too high last year, but there was some actual hope of a profit. BTC has some value though I think it's currently beyond insanity. Dogecoin is the apex of speculation. At least if you got caught up in the Tulip mania you got a tulip. There are already a few Dogecoin millionaires made though most won't sell. I'm just not sure how we top this.(05-09-2021, 09:29 AM)fenders53 Wrote:(05-09-2021, 09:05 AM)divmenow Wrote:OK, so pull Dollar General valuation off the market CAP.
