RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 07-24-2020 (07-24-2020, 10:54 AM)divmenow Wrote: And just like that Tech is back. You can’t keep it down for long. I knew I should have bought 1 share of AAPL lolI caught the tech bottom for now. Looks like they postponed the senate big tech anti-trust hearings. I think the market is stuck in churn mode for a little while. Random vaccination news may pump it now and then. It may be awhile before the market faces the reality the next stimulus won't be large enough to fix unemployment. I think we are going to hover or chop around until the virus numbers truly look controlled and we are nowhere near that right now. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 07-24-2020 Just sold a new T put for Divemenow. I have some expiring worthless in a few hours and I gotta keep the weekly T checks coming. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 07-27-2020 https://seekingalpha.com/news/3595230-aep-funded-dark-money-to-campaigns-now-under-fbi-probe-report Not the kind of drama I was looking for in my utility holdings. Second one to get in trouble in about a year. Added some shares on this mornings bug dip against my better judgement. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - kblake - 07-27-2020 Bought some T .. Wish me luck lol RE: What Did You Buy Today? - divmenow - 07-27-2020 (07-27-2020, 09:19 AM)fenders53 Wrote: https://seekingalpha.com/news/3595230-aep-funded-dark-money-to-campaigns-now-under-fbi-probe-report There you go... T to the moon lol I added to BEP. Today is the last day to receive shares in BEPC once they spin it off. AEP is in trouble. Could be another FE I will wait a few days to see where it shakes out. Huge earnings week for for all the big tech names. Hope they dip RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 07-27-2020 (07-27-2020, 09:43 AM)divmenow Wrote:It will be a long while before the utility scam settles out. AEP will get fined. It turned out to be a good decision to build my XEC position during their drama but there was certainly no hurry to accumulate. The AEP shares I got for under$80 look good for now. This the second State House Speaker to get busted in a week. 3 or 4 Utes in the past year that I know of. Hard to believe they think they can launder that much bribe money without getting busted.(07-27-2020, 09:19 AM)fenders53 Wrote: https://seekingalpha.com/news/3595230-aep-funded-dark-money-to-campaigns-now-under-fbi-probe-report RE: What Did You Buy Today? - Binary - 07-27-2020 (07-27-2020, 09:32 AM)kblake Wrote: Bought some T .. Wish me luck lol Yeah, kblake and Divemenow are big T players lol. If Divemenow doesn't stop taunting me I am going to be overweight soon. Seriously though I added a few shares today and I should stop. Mostly I have puts sold so I'd be happy if T stayed around 29 for a few weeks. I am going to sell my gold and silver very soon. It's due to consolidate some. Need to cash in on my QQQ put sale from last week as well. I've been very fortunate with my timing the past month or so. I always sell too early but greed kills too. Wish I had bought more AEP at the open. If they indict the BOD and CEO tomorrow I won't be wishing that lol. My UTEs can stop bribing high profile politicians anytime now. I'm sure this crooked lobbyist stuff happens all the time but they seem to be cracking down now. (as they should) RE: What Did You Buy Today? - crimsonghost747 - 07-28-2020 (07-22-2020, 09:21 AM)fenders53 Wrote: Gave my RTX position a serious haircut. Sold a covered call on the remaining shares. Not sticking around with a big position for an earnings report next week I am certain is going to be depressing. Well, the earnings report was certainly abysmal. We all knew it was going to be bad but it was certainly worse than I expected. Seems to be currently up 3% in premarket... I do not understand these things but I would be surprised to see RTX end up in green today. And RTX ceo just said he doesn’t see a turnaround in aerospace industry until 2023. That’s a long time to wait. That’s not good. Maybe I should be buying more gold and silver lol RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 07-28-2020 (07-28-2020, 07:55 AM)divmenow Wrote:This is what I have been harping about. I know I sound like mister bear here too often. He is a good CEO and he RTX will be fine but the last couple calls were awful. I've been checking on BA again lately and they can't go a week without their story getting worse. I am going to keep selling covered calls on my remaining 100 shares until I lose them, then do the put thing. That tends to work well in stocks going nowhere but you want to keep most of the dividends. I can't cut and run on every bad story because there will be more soon.(07-28-2020, 07:06 AM)crimsonghost747 Wrote:(07-22-2020, 09:21 AM)fenders53 Wrote: Gave my RTX position a serious haircut. RE: What Did You Buy Today? - fenders53 - 07-28-2020 Hold that thought on Gold and Silver. You weren't wrong to avoid it the past few weeks. We got lucky and it broke out FINALLY. It will consolidate soon enough. I do happen to believe it is VERY crash resistant for the foreseeable future. At some point silver gets sketchy as it's an industrial metal and the market can be flooded with physical silver. You know the miners are digging as fast as they can now. |
